“It’s just to catch the flies!” That’s what I overheard a worker say, and it pretty much set the tone for the experience. The place felt downright filthy. I honestly don’t understand how it has so many good reviews. The fryer oil looked old and dirty, grime covered the grill, and the bathrooms—are you kidding me? The entire place is in desperate need of a deep clean and a serious upgrade. Parking was another issue—at first. There’s actually plenty of parking, but you have to drive around the corner and park sort of behind the building. There is a sign pointing it out, but if you’re not familiar with the area, it’s confusing. The entrance to the lot closest to the building was blocked off, making it look like the lot was closed. We almost left and went somewhere else because of it. Inside, I counted seven cameras just in the customer area. Why so many? It felt a little excessive and added to the weird vibe. The wait was frustrating. No one else was there, but the phones were ringing nonstop, and the staff seemed more interested in chatting than making food. I waited about five minutes before I even confirmed my order was being prepared, then another 15 before they started cutting the meat. I saw one burger on the grill, but my sub took forever—especially considering there were three people working. Now for the upside: the sandwich was really good. Surprisingly good. The mayo, in particular, was excellent—creamy, flavorful, and clearly a step above the usual. Bottom line: filthy place, slow service, confusing parking—but once you get through all that, the sandwich might just make it worth it. Maybe? Kinda sort of… doubt I’ll be back.

I've been a regular at Simarons and the quality never disappoints. However, during my recent visit, I was almost charged extra for chips that were listed as included with the sandwich when ordering online. I put the cops back because It turns out they're under new ownership, and the menu and pricing have recently changed. I recommend calling or visiting in person to confirm prices for now. That said, the food is still excellent and one of the best values in Dover, DE. I’ll definitely be back once everything is updated

I have been ordering from here for years. Their food is always fresh and delicious. I just tried the roast beef and fresh deli turkey for the 1st time. As always, very happy!! Had to share photos. I absolutely recommend Simaron’s any day. Mmmm.

I got delivery of some wings and french fries the barbecue wings were actually very good but the french fries were ridiculously soggy. I called the store and talk to a male who was younger and claimed to be the manager I told him about the Soggy fries and he asked if I had any suggestions how to make them better. I told him I have no idea that is not my expertise but if I had a restaurant I would certainly find out prior to selling french fries. I asked for a credit on the french fries and told him they could even pick them up to prove I didn't eat them but he refused to give me credit. I told him I really don't need the money I have plenty of money but it's just the point of doing the right thing and he started calling me mister millionaire. Totally unprofessional and ignorant.I told him I would just write a bad review and he said he did not care. I told him that bad reviews have a big impact on the business and how could he be so stupid to have a bad review over some french fries that probably cost them $0.75. Then he said I was such a terrible person for holding a bad review over his head. Are you serious this is a guy who is your manager of your establishment.??? I feel bad for the owner that I have to write this bad review but it should be at least his punishment for having this ignoramus in...

THE BEST CHEESE STEAKS AND SUBS IN DELAWARE!! Just realised Ive been patronizing this sub shop for over 30 years. Ive been a customer when they were known as Cleveland Sub Shop. The staff and owner are the best!! Very friendly, courteous, helpful, and generous. I travel from Newark to Dover to get there subs!!

UPDATE!!! UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP.... check your food before leaving!! I should have done so before leaving; I had for warning due to customers calling in complaining there orders were wrong while I was standing there. I ask the young lady to confirm my order and she said it was right. I get home and of course it was wrong!! I called to inform them that my order was wrong and the young lady asked me to bring it back. I live in Newark and they are located in Dover it's a 30 minute to 45 minute drive that's not happening. I asked her could they give me a credit and I was told no because people have been complaining that there orders were wrong but still eating it so they need to see it. One so you know your screwing up orders since I'm not the first person. Two they knew who I was cause I told them I came from Newark and they are the only sub shop I go to due to the previous owners so why not give me a credit. I'm a loyal customer but they have missed that up. I will miss the previous...
