Irish Mikes Old Towne Pub — Restaurant in Dover

We used to love going to this bar, but had a nightmarish experience there a couple weekends ago. Six of us were there for about an hour, when all of a sudden this old security guard walked up and wanted to see our id's and search all the females purses. Now mind you, the youngest person in our group was in her thirties and we were not causing any problems. We thought it was a prank from one of the guys at first. This security guard was acting all big and bad and the only thing this guy was capable of throwing out was his back! We were very annoyed, but complied. Then a few of us went out to smoke and when we went to go back in, he stopped us at the door and carded us AGAIN. He watched us step outside and knew he already carded us, but said he now had to scan our id's. Still very annoyed, but complied. His scanner didn't end up working, so he let us in anyway. Really??? Went here Friday. Security guards and medal detectors made me apprehensive but safety is priority. The music was good the drink cups are huge. 1 star because the alcohol made me sick. I got really Nauseous and woozy and I only had one and a half drinks. I haven’t felt like that in years but I immediately knew it was the quality of the alcohol and I ordered Tito‘s. The person I was with had Hennessey which was stronger than normal. I used my finger to get it out of my system when I realized but my friend is sick today can’t even keep water down. Your customers seem to have no respect for the fact that people in the neighborhood have to get up for work in the morning. It would be nice if your customers were told not to play their music loud enough to wake up the whole neighborhood at 12 am. We are trying to get our rest in order to wake up fresh and prepared to take on the day. Your customers seemed to have no respect for the fact that people have to get up for work.
