I’ve been coming to the Dover Library since I was a kid. I’ve never had a bad encounter with anyone until today. The assistant director approached me in very offensive manner regarding the desk for the type writer. Apparently they do not permit anyone to sit at that particular seat however, I typically sit there due to the library having very limited seating. She began looking at the type writer AND the socket as if I was vandalizing or tampering with the equipment. Her tone when speaking was very unprofessional!! Read moreThe librarians are mostly gentle helpful people. The Library has a new policy of barring bathroom use to anyone without a library card. Due to a recent incident, they’re exploring getting an armed guard. They previously had police cadets who were basically useless. I was robbed twice there in ‘17 and they offered no help. Mostly it seems the library wants to appease donors by getting rid of the riffraff. Also periodicals frequently sit somewhere out of sight before someone finally gets around to putting them out to be enjoyed by patrons. Read moreThe library is clean, quiet(unless you go when there is a mini-con),the staff is really friendly,the children section is the best place to take your kids to learn and play, great little theatre for people who want to just chill and relax, also a great place for teens and adults who enjoy anime to get away from real life ,They also help the homeless by letting them get out of the cold during the day until they close.Best place I've been ever since the old one shut down and got a bigger place I recommend it to anyone and everyone....
