This is no longer a Lithuanian restaurant. It’s trying to be upscale but it is not at all. The server was very pleasant and understanding, hence the one star. Never received bread or had to ask for water. We went for a large family lunch. We waited almost an hour for our food. An hour!!!! 45 min for an appetizer. It was not busy in there at all.!!! The music was incredibly loud and really bad pop. The last thingwe want to hear at a weekday lunch is ten minutes of Michael Jackson’s thriller at full volume at a Lithuania restaurant. Music needs to be mellow and possibly authentic. The food was very expensive and very poorly prepared. Like the chefs are pulled from fast food chains. My Cobb salad was 13.99 and was literally a giant bowl of brownish romaine. At first most of the topping were forgotten and just a few things were randomly tossed on top. That’s not a cobb salad. The medium well burger was hard, the lettuce and tomato on top was wilted and mushy. The red leaf lettuce had already turned deeply brown. When I showed our server she seemed surprised and embarrassed that the cook would send that out. It was a pathetic burger. There were a total of ten fries on the plate and the bun was a cheap Sysco bun. So if you are going to serve dishes lower quality than a diner, your prices should reflect that. Your dinner prices are higher that some upscale places downtown with a great atmosphere and delicious recipes. Every single dish we ordered that was Lithuanian, was flavorless and hard. As if too much potato starch was used. We suspect the cooks are not Lithuanian. We are highly disappointed with the new grand dukes. The boss was nearby and probably knew we were not enjoying our visit, but never came by to apologize or check in. We asked the music to be turned down or changed five times, they said okay but never did anything. Honestly can we get our money and time back? No good. Nieko gero. Read moreWe were there last Sunday we had a reservation of course . Place it's beautiful , the best part of this restaurant , was not the food, not the service but the singer . If I go back there it will be for the singer his really good , the service was absolutely the worst experience in my life. They put us by the table in the corner , there were many tables empty at the time , but that's was not the problem , it took about 20 minutes before anybody came to our table. We order the drinks , I order margarita my husband order beer , maybe 20-30minuts later , they they brought our drinks , my margarita came with fly in it. I did showed this to the waitress , of course she apologized, and she told me she's going to bring me new drink it took her about another 15-20 minutes . In meanwhile when she brought the first time drink , we order the food I ordered Zeppelins my husband potato sausage . When they brought our food , of course they messed up our order, I got what I ordered, but my husband got potato pancakes instead of potato sausage .Finally couple minutes later , she got my drink , they did give me a bigger drink , but still listen to what happened next . Finally she brought my husband food , after we finish eating , we asked the waitress for a check . She bring us a final check, and I'm looking at it and I'm trying to figure out , why is it so much . Quess what , she put potato pancakes ( that we never order into our receipt ) hoping that we will not figure it out . Of course we went to her , before we even said anything to her , she looked at us, and she start apologizing right away , so she knew what she was doing . We were so freaking upset with this woman , service was absolutely horrible , and on top of it , she wanted us to pay for potato pancakes that we never ordered !!!! My advice to you ,make sure check your receipts. I know for sure my foot will never step in this place again. How can you...
Read moreWith a broken heart Im going to say that I will not go back. For years we were going there once in a while for some good food. Early this year their menu has changed. Seemed that it will be wonderful with a more contemporary twist to it. Well at the beginning it was average but a lot more expensive. We spent about 150 plus tip for 3 kids and 2 adults. We went back few times after that and things did not improve. We gave it a one more try today. And omg. As we first walked in it was almost empty on Saturday night. I noticed first it was not to tidy. Garbage on the floor, napkin bits and pieces, and the chairs were all chipped and banged up - obviously someone is not touching anything up. Glass on the table was dirty with remnants of someone’s lipstick or chapstick. I also went to the bathroom and it was not clean plus it had about 20 flies there. I ordered my favorite appetizer and the moment it came it looked different and not fresh. It had no sliced beet, but shredded blob of beets. Hearings were dried out on the edges. My main corse fish was dried out, veggies were floating in grease and rice - well some pieces were already dry. Not undercooked, like the day old rice. I mentioned all that to the waitress and she passed my concern to the manager. But if you think she came and try to find out what is wrong. Nope. Such a shame. Just stayed behind the wall and tried solve it there. She did tell the waitress that she could take out the charge for appetizers but I did not go there for freebies. And besides we ate the potato sausages out of there. I included a photo of what I received and what it supposed to look like. Also a disappointing look of the chairs that no one maintains. I’m not even going to mention dusty baseboards, chair...
