This store has just a plethora of goods from all over the world, and some really good sales on things I've never had before. I always try something new, the last time I was in here, I picked up some Polish instant milk coffee powder for less than two dollars. It was honestly an impulse purchase as a very attractive guy has been hitting on me, he said he was Polish and complimented my boots, while I was holding the bag of milk coffee and I simply was too flustered to put it back. I'm glad I didn't, with the weather turning cold it's been genuinely a delight to have on hand. I will likely pick up more. Cute guys and cappuccino powder aside, this store has some really helpful and polite staff, a fantastic deli counter, and always smells like this surreal mix of spices, herbs, and sweets. If you're willing to be a bit adventurous and try new things, this is the place to go. Also if you like pickles this is the place to go. They have so many different types of pickles, just a vast aisle almost entirely dedicated to pickles. It's frankly one of the most beautiful things I've seen, pickled vegetables are among my...
Read moreAbsolutely lovely selection of fresh fruits and vegetables ,international choices, fresh fish, - and some of the rudest employees I have ever encountered anywhere. I went to the cashier and asked how much heavy shopping bags cost. I was looking through the different patterns and a manager who happened to be Muslim asked me which one I wanted, and I told him I was just looking at the different patterns and thanked him. He said okay and walked away . then the young cashier who also happened to be Muslim said something in her language to her co-worker and began throwing my grocery items to the end of the checkout lane. I thought since this was my first time there that perhaps they don't bag your groceries... but then noticed all the other cashiers bagging everyone else's items . she ignored my items and once I paid began ringing up the next customer. Did I offend her some how ? I thought I was quite polite. Did she offend me ? 100% . will I be back? No way, and neither should any other customer who thinks it's reasonable to be treated with respect & courtesy. Cashier name: Victoriia, if anyone at this...
Read more1st time in this store. I grabbed a few items and was waiting in the 15 items or less lane. Two women and a middle eastern gentleman in front of me. A Muslim man behind the service counter right next to us called the middle eastern gentleman over and rang him up. I awaited to be called next as the two women were now getting price checks on a couple of items. The Muslim man walked away from his counter. He then returned and called a woman standing behind me over to ring her up. I said out loud I'm next in line and he never looked at me. I then was able to put my items on the belt and a white gentleman behind me stepped over to the Muslim man and he said "I'm closed". The white man was now back behind me. I was about to pay for my items and the man behind me was now putting his items on the belt and the Muslim man called to a Hispanic woman behind the white man over to ring her up. The white man said over to him "I thought you were closed"? To which the Muslim man didn't look up. In my opinion THIS WAS A CASE OF EXTREME RACISM !!!! I will never shop in this...
