Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Downey

Last night , my daughter and I were heading back home from Universal Studios for her spring break. She was looking forward on having Chick-fil-A for dinner. We arrived around 8:15 and placed our order. Immediately my daughter went to try to use the restroom, she said they were cleaning it because it had the sign on it and was blocked. She proceeded to keep checking on it, almost every 15 minutes or so. We started eating our food and we kept checking on the restroom because she really needed to go, so did I. We were done eating and it has been a while since we have gotten there and waited at least an extra 30 minutes. I went to check on the restroom, and there was a boy sitting on the booth beside it, he was on his phone, and I asked him if the restrooms were ready since we’ve been here for a very long time and I thought they were clean already. He told me that they were wet and that it would be about 15 minutes for me to be able to use it. We waited and waited because we had almost a 2 hour drive home late at night. Just my daughter and I, I was afraid to stop somewhere else, thinking I’m in Chick-fil-A and I feel safe because it’s always been a very welcoming warm place. It was about not even 9 o’clock when the manager started dimming /turning off the lights. There was only one more table with kids and their families. I thought, oh they are about to close, let’s go to the bathroom ( they should definitely be ready by now) They must be ready because it’s been more than 15 minutes that we just sat here waiting. Once I went there, I asked the girl can I please use the restroom, the sign is still saying that it’s closed for cleaning. It has been there since we got here and the boy told me that in 15 minutes the floor should be dry. The girls told me no because they were closing, I said, can you please let me use the restroom, me and my daughter have a long way to go and I don’t wanna stop anywhere else to use the restroom because it’s so late. She said I am sorry ma’am the restrooms are closed because we are closed. I was in shocked they were doing this to us, I could not believe it. The other family was still there. I think they were also waiting to use it. I almost started begging her to let me use the restroom because I was starting to get anxious that we both have been needing to use the restroom for over an hour and had a long drive. The manager refused to let me use it. I kept telling her I cannot believe you’re doing this to us. I have been waiting and the guy told me that in 15 minutes it was ready and it’s been way long. Somehow she proceeded to tell the other girl to let me use it, finally. I kept saying I cannot believe this is happening. We realized that the restroom had been cleaned since we arrived but because of the laziness, they did not want anybody to use it. Chick-fil-A is for us the nicest safest fast food place. We have been going as a family for over 20 years all over the country. Whoever hired this people need to know that they hired most insensitive , unprofessional, incompetent , laziest people I’ve ever seen in a fast food restaurant or any restaurant. We found it cruel. BTW they weree turning off the lights before 9:00, but still, you don’t do that when customers are still inside a restaurant. It’s very unprofessional.I never expected that treatment in a Chick-fil-A. I hope everything is on camera. My daughter and I came to the conclusion that the restrooms have been cleaned the whole time, they did not want to let anyone use it because they just wanted to go home early, and also the fact that they started turning off the lights and it wasn’t even 9 o’clock was extremely unprofessional. Chick-fil-A have be come the fastest growing restaurant serving their classic traditional chicken sandwich. Since Chick-fil-A arrive in California it have been come very popular with crowd. I really enjoy Chick-fil-A including their classic chicken and their salad especially their Cobb and Market Salad they make their salads fresh daily and using high quality ingredients. from farm. I also enjoy their breakfast very much,I get a chicken biscuit combo including a freshly made coffee in the moring.

Chick-fil-A always introduce new in the menu one thing that my wife and like the most the mac n cheese so good and creamy that's good Ole max n cheese that's a southern comfort food. Another I enjoy is the sweet tea so good and refreshing drink perfect for the summer. The stakes are awesome especially their limited time shakes like their peach shake so good in the summer time and relaxing with my sweet tea by my side.

My family the most is their dipping sauce so good we use it on everything you can imagine. I experiment the dipping sauce on what food I can get trust me adding the Chick-fil-A will bring the flavor of food in a different dimension flavors in your taste buds will...

My sandwich was cold, my fries were salty, and there was bad miscommunication from the team. I ordered my food and was asked if I would dine in or carry out. I chose to dine in. I was given carry out bags by another employee and thought they made a mistake and started eating there. Mid-meal, another team member approached us and said “I don’t want to rush you, but we need to have the dining room empty by 9:15pm” I checked the time and it WAS 9:15pm. I felt like I was being kicked out So I had to pack up my sandwich and eat the rest in my car. I was excited for opening day and invited friends to go check out the new place but sadly the teams’ performance fell short. I’m disappointed that I didn’t receive the “chick-fil-a experience” that everyone is used to. I hope they do better...
