King Sushi and Teriyaki — Restaurant in Pico Rivera

I live in the area. Therefore I was there during the soft opening of this restaurant. I was looking forward to trying their food. I placed an order for pick up the first week it opened. I picked up my order only to find out it was not what I ordered. Fine, it was the first week. Restaurant is new. I cut them some slack. Weeks later I once again placed a order for one item. Their fried rice dish. The rice was crunchy & the meats burned. It had a smoky taste to it. I called to let them know. They apologize about it. Called again few days later to place the same fried rice order. Only to be told that they had no fried rice. Fast forward to 2 days ago. Walked in to place an order. Only to be told once again that they only make a certain amount of fried rice for the day. Therefore at 4pm they were out of fried rice. I'm done with trying to support this local business. Wow great sushi 🍣 clean location, my significant other and I went with a crunch roll, crunch spicy tuna roll, crispy rice spicy tuna, and side of spicy garlic edemame. The spicy garlic edemame was ok but not spicy as described, but the garlic flavor was good. Crunch roll had great flavor, good portion, added some ginger and soy sauce made it all the best, this was the non spicy roll. Next was the crunch spicy tuna which had a little kick of spice for our likes we added Sriracha and the sambal olek hot sauce which made it even spicier 🔥. Our favorite from the 3 was the crispy rice spicy tuna, topped with a slice of jalapeño again added more Sriracha and sambal olek for a super spicy and crispy sushi!!! One, if not the best sushi around. Definitely...

My top 5 choices are:

1. Of course, chicken teriyaki - Freshly made all the time. I also add a side of avocados with extra scallions (this restaurant makes their own teriyaki sauce from scratch).

2. Rolls are amazing too! Great quality fish - cannot get the same quality in Downey/Pico Rivera area with this price.

3. Cajun shrimp with hurricane medium spicy level sauce - big portion and reasonable price.

4. King Fried noodle is my another fav.

5. King Katsu with miso soup.
