Pregio Pizza — Restaurant in Downey

So right off the bat I want to say I had been a huge fan of Pronto Pizza for several years. Then their prices went up. Then their prices went up again. I used to consider them a $5 dollar pizza spot but aside from the original pepperoni Pizza it seems getting a couple pizzas will run you what a popular chain would. Still I went, even during the pandemic.

Yesterday, I went after a couple months of not - and apparently they have become "Pregio Pizza." I immediately noticed a different ambience when I walked in even though all the Pronto Pizza branding was still in there including the expensive looking digital menus and everything.

I still went ahead and ordered. It seems like the Pizza is the same but I don't think it is. Judge for yourselves. The pepperoni was a little burnt. I don't know what's happening with Pronto's but at this point (and with the prices going up comparable to popular chains) I don't think I am going back.

Customer Service with Pronto's was better in my opinion. It's a huge part on my experience when I eat so we will see what happens once it fully converts to "Pregio."

Update #2: I ordered and paid for a Pizza online. I waited 10-15 minutes before I went in. I get to the register the girl can't find the pizza. She tells me "10 minutes" - rather than argue, I just go back to my car and wait 10 more minutes. What an...

Well I used to love coming here and ive seen the great changes they have made just wish the youngee staff would take there job serious i recently called in for a pie waited the 15 minutes Nick said over the phone and still had to wait 30 minutes inside for an Extra Crispy pepperoni (they literally just have to push one back) the young lady at the front was already giving attitude to customers due to the leaders getting mixed up (Every eyelid was closed white eyes with visine but WE all knew the staff was intoxicated under the influence of marijuana while working, Yes i made a comment and they all looked shocked like a kid with his hand caught in the cookie jar) the young lady claims my number doesnt register i showed I called and she tells me to place the order there then after i asked to speak with Lou the manager or owner they said he is not at that location anymore which is questionable the girl on the register offers me wings because she claims to have given my extra crispy to another customer just OVERALL MISTAKES THAT THESE SEASONED EMPLOYEES ARE MAKING IVE SEEN THESE FACES 100 TIMES WHY CANT THEY GET IT RIGHT YET. WILL BE CALLI G CORPORATE THEY NEED TRAINING ALL OVER THE ONLY ONE WORKING WAS THE GUY ON THE DOUGH PUT HIM BACK ON REGISTER NOBODY LIKES DEALING WITH...

I'm a old customer, been eating at this place for years, I can't recall how many years but the pizza here is incredibly delicious. I would've gave this place 5 stars but at my most recent visit, I started to notice that the pizzas were smaller and for the beef pizza with pepperoni, the beef changed from small pieces but more portions of it to marble shaped sizes but smaller portions. Now, they arent serving more of the toppings as before, which disappointed me and my family. I also got a Hawaiian pizza and also had fewer toppings. The pizza cutting skills arent the best but overall everything else is going fine. I'm waiting to see more toppings, but not the downfall of this business. Update: The beef situation is solved, it's back to normal! I seen the prices have gotten higher over the years but its probably because of inflation. And, we should understand that the ingredients cost them aswell. The pizza is...
