The Creamery at the Farmhouse — Restaurant in Downingtown

This place is absolutely lovely! Everything, from the menu to the service to the location, is amazing— I cannot think of one bad thing to say! There are just so many good qualities I don’t even know where to start!

I think the menu is a good start to how phenomenal the Farmhouse Creamery is! First of all, it is a rare ice cream place with lactose intolerant options. It also has a great area of flavors and toppings! These flavors taste very genuinely delicious – whereas some ice cream places taste bland and artificial. Also, a personal perk for me as someone who tends to prefer milkshakes over ice cream when the option is provided is that they can turn any of their flavors into a milkshake! This might not seem especially fabulous, but after being stuck with the same vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry milkshake flavors for essentially my whole life, it's like a breath of fresh air to finally get some more options!

Along with the exponentially great menu, the location is also very convenient! It’s located directly next to a lovely coffee shop that I also have nothing but nice words about! It’s very easily accessible and not very far or out of the way. Though the location may vary in convenience from where you are coming from, it is personally great from where I am located!

To add the cherry on top of this phenomenal ice cream shop, their service is delightful! I have a very indecisive (and rambunctious) little brother but he received nothing but kindness from the staff! They were nothing but lovely and kind!

This place is great! They do give samples, like every other ice cream shop. Loading up two families for post-dinner dessert now. The atmosphere is outstanding, both indoors and outdoors. The patio and side garden seating are solid options. My favorite part is that the consistency of the ice cream is perfect. It’s not too soft like Marble Slab or Maggie Moos. It’s not hard like supermarket ice cream.
