Please check the board when ordering as of May 31, 2025 this board is old. I was charged 699 for a fish taco. Today I visited Taco Mar for a quick taco — advertised at $4.99 across multiple menu boards. After paying, I got back to my car and noticed they charged me $6.99 for a fish taco instead.
Naturally, I went back in to correct it. Instead of fixing the mistake, the worker told me “the menu board is wrong” and then blamed the signage company for the error.
🛑 Important note: I actually work in the signage industry and my company doesn’t even handle their signs. When I mentioned that, the attitude switched up real quick.
But when I went to question the charge, he kept my receipt, caught an attitude, and asked me “Do you want the food or your money?” — all I wanted was the $2 difference I was overcharged. Instead, he got mad and flashed the full amount in my face. I don’t usually blast businesses, but between the false advertising, the attitude, and the poor customer service; I won’t be back.
It’s not about the money ; it’s about how you treat people.
📢 Dear [Taco Mar ]: Respect your customers. Honor your advertised prices. And next time? Keep the attitude off the menu.

Read moreThe setup of this place actually reminds me of a drive through taco stand back home in East Los Angeles. The al pastor and grilled chicken was excellent and cooked perfectly. They even grilled the pineapple for the al pastor. Overall the food was flavorful and the red salsa was tasty and had a kick to it. I even liked the lime flavor in the chips they made. The drive through element was a bit awkward because cars can’t really turn around without backing back up again but that was the only negative. There was enough food for the price given the obvious high cost of commercial rents in the area. I don’t know if it is women-owned but women were running the place which I appreciate since I come from a family that was run by women....
Read moreLet me preface this with... I wanted to love this. I went to the dtown location for the 1st time have not been to any of the other locations. I was disappointed. This was a al pastor borrito. Thinking this was going to around $11 I was shocked when he said over $16. I did not see anywhere the price of upcharged for different meats. However. Bc I like all pastor I paid. After about 5 minutes I received this. Taste was bland except for the taste of soggy lettuce and the texture was just that soggy and mushy. I should have got black beans instead of refried it may have helped with the texture. I may try the birria tacos as that was my other choice. I am not writing this to punish, but to help others make...
