Service lacking & food ok.
Stopped in to geta dine-in dinner, after a long conference day yesterday & dropping off a fellow worker at a nearby hotel (approximately 8pm). Unfortunately it was several minutes before I headed to facilities & back. Started my stopwatch to see how long it would take for someone to acknowledge me & possibly seat me (note I have a brace on my leg to stabilize it, from an accident). I counted 6 bartenders/wait staff (some standing & talking with each other) out front & 4 tables/groups in dining area & a handful of individuals in the bar. Stopwatch indicated slightly over 1 minute before a young man acknowledged me & sat me at a booth.
Then I reset the stopwatch to see how long someone would take to take an order; it took 3 minutes. 😯☹ At this point I decided to take my order back to the Hilton hotel rather than wait for these individuals, obviously at the end of their shifts. I did not time to receive my food, because I ordered Bucket of Bones with a large portion of Honey Mustard sauce (for my fries) & Raspberry Iced Tea with light ice to go. Received the Bucket of Bones & Raspberry Iced Tea without plastic ware, napkins or Honey Mustard sauce. I asked about these & received plastic ware, small package of sauce & the large stack of napkins I asked for. Asked for a larger package of sauce & finally received with check.
Due to this service, I only gave a 10% tip. Had I tasted the food (fries had no taste, cold & soggy, ribs & wings were ok, but nothing special) I may have reduced the tip further or requested some left off. NOTE: I purchased the Long Island Tea at a...
Read moreWe were in Orlando for a manager conference at Darden main office. There were 5 of us that came in to eat. The server Kenneth was not good at all. Slow with the service, not attentive at all. When it came time to pay he ask were we all together. We said no, and we would like the checks separated. He said he couldn't do that, he could only separate 3. We said really? he said yes. We informed him that we were all managers of various restaurants and everything from GM down, and all checks could be separated could he please separate them or get a manager. He said it's cool we were managers but you don't manage here and we can't separate more than 3 checks and walked off. About that time a young lady came by and I flagged her down and ask was she a manager she said yes, and could she help us. We explained the check issue as well as the server, she said she was sorry about him, and that she was new, that she would have to check on being able to separate our checks. as soon as she walked away the server came from the other direction and said it took him a lot of work but he was able to separate the checks! We said thank you and gave him our payments! BUT WAIT THERES MORE, he returned with my wife's check and ask how much was she wanting to pay, she said the check $17. He said nothing else??? She said NO. This young man is not a brand ambassador of your store. If he wasn't trained properly, that's one thing but there is no excuse for his poor attitude. Read moreA group of coworkers and I came in on Friday, 3/25 to enjoy a couple of drinks after work. We were greeted by the hostess who led us to our table. After bringing us to our table we were greeted by Taj who gave exceptional service and was beyond friendly and attentive and didn’t mind spending a few extra minutes helping us pick out a drink that would suit our cravings. After ordering our drinks, we were later greeted by Ashley. When we told her we already ordered drinks, she stated that “that’s not the case since this is her table” making us feel like we’re just a statistic and not a guest. After explaining we already had a server, she proceeded to get an attitude with members at our table and then further went to argue with our server infront of us when he is trying to give us the best service possible despite her actions. She then proceeds to degrade him while talking to us which shows high levels of unprofessionalism in an establishment like this. Despite all of this, Taj managed to give us astounding service and continue to serve us with a smile on his face. Guests at our table continued to receive dirty stares from Ashley while she was tending to other tables and treated us horribly. Please do better fridays. If it wasn’t for Taj, I believe we would never come back to this establishment. I will continue to request him from here on out as Ashley provided horrible...
