Truthfully, I can not say enough good things about this place. I was beyond thrilled when I saw a location was opening near me because I used to order from Maple Street all of the time when I worked out in Union Park.
Since this location opened, I have visited several times. The staff here is the epitome of top notch because they treat you like family the moment you walk through the door. Staff member, Nassi, at the front has a beautiful smile and it is a perfect way to be greeted. It's obvious by the ambience of this location, that there is a top-down positive attitude from the management team who is running this location. I've had the pleasure of speaking with and giving kudos about their staff to Mike and Noemi a couple of times and they both are dedicated to offering the best experience to every customer.
The food here is incredible. Be prepared to wait just a bit though. Whether or not there is a line (and there very well may be,) it does take some time to put all that deliciousness into each order. Do trust that Julie and the rest of the team are preparing things just right for you though!
Also, be prepared to answer their question of the month that gets posted on a huge chalkboard inside. Your answer will be the name of your order and Julie will say it loud and proud. Imagine having "Meerkat" or "Michael Jackson" shouted across the room. If that doesn't make things fun, I don't know what does.
My go to meal is ALWAYS the Iron Goat. Being a vegetarian, this is an incredibly flavorful biscuit with goat cheese and sauteed spinach. I personally love to add an egg to it, even though I've been told that most people just get it traditionally without an egg. The sweet potato fries with their honey mustard are mouth watering. I love their iced Maple Vanilla Latte, it's a must. I recently tried the Sweet Grace waffles which has chocolate chips and topped with Strawberries, served with real maple syrup. I would 100% recommend, especially for kiddos that may love chocolate chip waffles because Maple Street even has a Little Ones version of it on their menu.
I can't wait to eventually try the Veggie Frittaffle, the fried green tomatoes (I've missed this since moving out of Nashville) and the freshly squeezed orange juice. Adding all of those to my list for next trip.
This location is new and in a plaza near White Castle and it is still developing so Maple Street may be hard to spot. Trust me though, you don't want to drive past this place and not stop in for the food and the customer service.

Read moreMy family absolutely loves Maples Street! That being said, we usually dine in Green Cove Springs. Today, for a family gathering, we ended up in Orlando. Upon first arrival, we were greeted by an angry employee who walked in the front door behind us and immediately lectured us on standing behind the line (stress cuts in the concrete flooring), and then stood in front of us repeating herself until everyone in line walked backward in to the people sitting at tables, so she could walk through without anyone within 3 feet of her. This points out that the location is small and does not allow more than 6 to 8 people to be in line without having the rest wait outside or standing around the dining tables to keep from being lectured. She was clearly moody and rude to all of us, acting annoyed at the fact that the location was busy. We then ordered and tried to find a table, but couldn't actually sit at one without moving other tables and chairs around to be able to squeeze into a table. Again, too packed in, even without people sitting at the tables. After about 15 minutes waiting on food, the apparently annoyed manager came out and gave a public service announcement, stating that everyone needs to calm down and not misplace their anger for the wait we were all experiencing with service and wait times. It was odd that they had plenty of staff and the restaurant was not exactly packed. What I noticed was that all of the employees appeared to be anxious and annoyed. Once we got our food, about 30 minutes after ordering, it was cold and incorrect. We were missing several ordered items. The cold food, which was correct, was on small plates and falling off those plates. When we told the server who ordered what, she just put the plates wherever she wanted and walked away. Later, the PSA guy came over to us and pointed out that my guest had a personal coffee mug, which he takes everywhere with him, as it is his desired coffee of choice. Mr. PSA didn't state anything specific but was slightly passive-aggressive in his comments. From that time on, he and the line coordinator watched us closely until we left the building, as if we were planning to heist some coffee, though we all paid for drinks, to include coffee, tea, and soda. In conclusion, angry and rude staff, long waits, cold food, wrong order, beverage security, passive aggressive, and hyper surveillance over guests of concern....
