So the problem with this, we sat at the bar. I looked at the menu before we left work. They had great prices. It’s also( it was not happy hour)
when I showed up I asked for the drink that was there and they told me they didn’t have it in stock , but he said I can give you this other drink, but this is a different price he said don’t worry about that, when the bill came not only was it more expensive and he did it to my companion as well
when she asked about a certain drink he recommended a drink, which was the most expensive drink on the menu “”now the food was great. “”The burger on point.
but when I was asking about what I can add to the burger , he tell me that if I wanted to add mushroom pickle lettuce and tomato etc he did not explain that was gonna be charged for every item or be charged individually for each item and he asked me did I want fries and I quote it comes with it yes it does and you’re gonna pay for that too. with that and I did say to him do they come with that? He said yes but then he charged me said at the end Chart he said oh I didn’t. I didn’t know you didn’t know that was on the menu have any prices to it so he kept recommending things and then when the bill came for a lunchtime bill between me and My Friend we had cocktails and we she had a chicken burger and I had a beef burger and I’ll bill was close to $180 with three drinks each actually I had four drinks, those four drinks cost me $28 but we spent close to $180. I am so disappointed with the way they operate and now I understand why there’s nobody ever there if you are gonna go and have something if they’re out of a certain liquor, please make sure you ask them. Are you gonna match this price for price because I did ask him that way, but he didn’t do it. I hope the company takes note of this review. There was some nice people there but what happened to us was disgusting. I’ve lived in the United States for 30 years. This is Location that I will never go back to only 500 yards away from this location. So my warning, if you go to the world of beer, and even though you can see your drinking in the cage, which you refused to open and try to direct me to to get a different drink I would say the best thing because we have so many choices Is to avoid world of beer at old town. Sad in this day and age that you have people that know exactly what they’re trying to do and take advantage . Sincerely, david...
Read moreGREAT new spot in the Dr. Philips / LBV area!! The place is brand new (within a month) and the service has been the best you could ask for!! WOB OTwon West has a fantastic beer selection. Nice variety of non-beer selections that are hand crafted. The food has been awesome! We have tried everything on the menu except the Steak Frites. And honestly, its because the Ribeye wasnt any good. Other than the Ribeye, literally everything else on the food menu has been amazing.
I'd recommend the following:
Apps: Buffalo Cauliflower, Balsamic Brussel Sprouts, or Pretzel. Bowls: Both the Cali bowl and Bibimbap were fantastic! (Do half lettuce/half rice!) Burgers: The burgers are very good. I enjoyed the Mac burger best for the preset burgers. But honestly, the BYO burger was my favorite. Mondays is BYO Burger for 5.95! Sandwiches: The French dip and Crispy buffalo chicken sandwich were great sandwiches! (buffalo sand. has a little kick to it!) Flatbreads: Each of the flatbreads were good! We actually liked them even more with the cauliflower crust! Salads: The Asian Chicken Salad may be in our top 3 on the entire menu! Great salad!! The WOB Cobb was unique for a Cobb salad. It was good. A bit small though for when you think about a Cobb salad. Fork & Knife: From the Fork and Knife Section, if you're gunna order form here, please do yourself a huge favor and order the Shrimp Linguine or the IPA Salmon. The linguini was fantastic! 100% skip the Ribeye.
I'd like to give a shout out to the kitchen staff. This is the hardest and most unforgiving job in the restaurant. They have opened a new location, learned an entire menu, and knocked it out of the park. A lot of people forget how much work goes on back there. We appreciate yall. Great job!! I'd also like to shout out Lindsey (server) , Jasmine (server), Nauzi (Bartender), one of the food runners (Trey), Josh (Manger), Andre (MP), and Ryan (Area Manager?). Each of these individuals have made the experience at WOB-OTown West even better.
100% give this...
Read moreThis was our first time visiting this restaurant. We were looking for a quick bite to eat, nothing fancy or time consuming. We arrived around 7, it was not crowded, many empty tables. There was no one to greet us at the door and we waited a few minutes before someone acknowledged us. We were seated at a high top table. We waited a little bit before being greeted by our server Cody, who happened to be the one who sat us. We ordered 2 beers and loaded tater tots. It was a long wait for the drinks to arrive and even longer for the tots. I was prepared to leave at 8:00 if the appetizer did not arrive by then. It arrived just at 8pm. We made a comment about the wait time and was told the line cook quit, just walked out and they were short staffed. We had already ordered a burger to share otherwise I would have left then. The tots that were suppose to be loaded, were just a plate of plain tots with 2 little pieces of bacon, and some white sauce drizzled over top. Definitely not loaded. We ordered the Brisket Burger medium rare, I know many places will not cook medium rare but I was hopeful. The burger arrived within a few minutes of the tots, and it was well done. It would have been good had it not been cooked to death. It was dry even the added bbq sauce did not help. We left and thought we should have just gone to White Castle across the street. Overall it took an hour and half to get a plate of plain tots and a burger that was not good. We will...
