Wish I could give âNo starsâ My cat Batman attended Pet Paradise for 3 years when we lived in Georgia and no issues what so ever! so when we moved to Florida I didnât hesitate to put him back into pet paradise here. BIG MISTAKE! I paid for the report cards and everyday they said âhow friendly he is with all the staffâ âheâs cuddly, warm, wanting petted etc..â I saved every report card and nothing about nipping, or any negative behavior. So I was surprised when I received a call during the middle of our cruise that my cat is no longer allowed to be at pet paradise because he keeps biting and attacking the employees and is a threat to the employees and to himself.. I told KYLE, whom called me, this was his first time at this pet paradise and I told them to bath him in treats and he will be your best friend. Of course he may nip at your ankles he doesnât know the people and when he tries to nip it is because he wants to play and attention. I told Kyle the report card had nothing on there about biting and that he got along with âall the staffâ and he said well maybe they didnât attend to him. I noticed on the camera they do not play with the cats. There was one fish toy, and a cat tree in the room. Of course I appologized for the person he nipped at but he wanted me to get my cat that day, and i was in the middle of the ocean and wouldnât get him till saturday after we docked and got off the ship. BY THE WAY I HAVE PICTURES POSTED OF MY âAGGRESIVEâ CAT BELOW TAKEN AT THIS PET PARADISE! For him being so aggressive they are so close to his face. So I get him on saturday and i told them what Kyle told me and that he is banded from pet paradise and i showed them the picture they put on instagram of my cat and if he is so aggressive why are they so close to his face? They told me they would look at the footage and see if âTHE EMPLOYEES GAVE HIM TREATSâ like i told them over and over again to make him feel more comfortable and less scared. I dont know if i will ever hear back from them about the footage but pet paradise will never ever get another penny from me and I will NEVER recommend any pet paradise to anyone. The employees they are hiring have no experience with animals or...
Read moreNOT HAPPY. I boarded my 13 year old fur baby for 4 nights. I found out several things after the fact, that they don't tell you up front. I guess you aren't privileged to know how your pet did, unless you paid additional for report cards. If my dog was not eating most of her food, I would expect someone to call and say so, but no call. I guess her uneaten food was discarded and not noted nor given a second thought. Intuition is the ability to bring together insignificant clues to form something significant, a hunch, and this is what I have here. I measured out exactly how much food was needed, but 2 meal portions were returned. My dog was 4 pounds lighter when we picked her up, than at drop off. And, she smelled like poop and had to go directly to the bath. Usually, my dog has a nice big poop 3-4 hours after breakfast, but only had a thin and tiny yellow poop the day I picked her up before noon on Friday. She went right to sleep once home, slept very deeply, was hard to awaken, and startled terribly when we spoke to her and lightly touched her while she was sleeping. She jerked and flailed like she was really frightened. She only took a couple bites of her dinner that day and walked away, and had no more poops. The next day, her appetite was only slightly better, and then she only had one very soft yellow poop in all day. She cowered easily, like afraid. Early this morning, Sunday, she woke me and had a runny yellow stool, drip drip drip, then she was dragging/rubbing her butt on the lawn. My poor fur baby. What do these clues tell me when I cluster them together? There's a virus being spread, like from dishes and sleeping quarters not being effectively cleaned. Something scared my fur baby to make her startle and cower so badly. And, she was sleep deprived to be sleeping so deeply she didn't hear us call her or smell a goodie by her nose. She lost weight, and now has diarrhea. All of this is significant evidence of a problem arising from my boarding her at Pet Paradise at Buena Vista for 4 nights. What happened to my poor pet? Was she mistreated or neglected? Her behavior and health status is not evidence of a...
Read moreMy Liloâs stay was nothing short of outstanding. My pup is 5 months old. We were going to have her attend day camp to work on socializing. We had Disney day planned and instead decided to board her.
I called made arrangements. Side note the app is very user friendly but I had other questions. We arrived for her stay and everyone was very welcoming.
There was a problem with the reservations. The lady helping us, so sorry I forgot everyoneâs names, was very kind understanding and patient even as my wife was not. She remained poised called the manager and they were able to find us a solution. It made me feel comfortable leaving my baby with them if they were able to handle a heated situation in this way.
The manager took Lilo who was very nervous. She answered all my questions and showed me how to use the apps camera functions. She was amazing and very patient with Lilo and eventually took her back.
About 45 minutes later they let me know she was adjusting well. They melted me updated with LILOâs progress through the day. Sometimes with messages or phone calls. Helped me feel they were attentive AND aware. I was able to view her play time with multiple cameras with clear video. I did notice during her group play time she would get some personal attention which I loved.
Towards the end of the stay I was given a report card and some pictures of Lilos stay. Upon picking her up. One of the ladies who was working with Lilo came up and gave me a personal report and even Airdropped me a video of her play time. She had used her Corgi to help bring my Lilo out of her shell. I work in health and it is this level of care that I try and give to my patients and is very seldom seen outside the hospital setting.
Overall an outstanding stay. I took Lilo to the store after and she no longer shied away from people at times almost going up to them. Not even a bark or a huff out of her towards them.
Thank you VERY much to Lake Buena Vista team for...
