I'm a Platinum Passholder at SeaWorld and visit the park regularly, so while my daughter was in town for the weekend, I decided to bring her along for a fun day at the park.
Listen, theme park food is not the best and is extremely overpriced.....that’s just a fact. I had never tried Voyager’s because the lines are always long, and I lack the patience to wait 30+ minutes in line, LOL.
Well, she was in the mood for some BBQ, so to Voyager’s we went, and I’m glad we did!
This is the best food I’ve had at SeaWorld so far. Is it as good as BBQ outside the park? No. But it was good.
The food is definitely pricey, but thanks to the double food discount voucher for July, the total cost was very reasonable.
I had the half chicken with fries. It was pretty good. The seasoning was on point and it had a strong smoked flavor, which I liked.
My daughter had the brisket sandwich and said it was good as well. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned.
It was a very busy day at the park, and the restaurant staff worked their butts off, but always with a smile on their faces. Great service!
The place is huge, and it’s perfect for having lunch indoors with strong A/C while it’s scorching outside. The ambience is okay, but very noisy,...
Read moreThis place is the worst. The management must not care about anything but a paycheck. All the employees are miserable and are depressing to interact with. The place is not clean, the employees are having conversations with themselves and ignoring guests. The door was covered in greasy handprints (first signs of what was to come) as we waiting in the most unorganized food line the employees that were plating meals for guests a were just talking about the weekend and not making plates for the guests waiting in what should be a quick line. The food was poor quality and the condiment station was covered in BBQ sauce and half the items were not stocked. Then upon exiting, one of the employees emptying the trash was conversing with another employee moving trays, these two were deep in conversation and would not allow guests to pass. As a line formed to exit, the employees continued having their personal conversation. When asked if there was a better place for them to have their conversation, they responded with "NO!" Then rolled their eyes. With Sea world sales down, you would think they the employees would try harder to make for a...
Read moreOrlando in general, I discovered, had very poor dining options.
I didn't expect one of the more decent places I would eat at, would be within a theme park, but such was the case when we discovered Voyagers smokehouse, a BBQ house suggested to us by one of the staff members.
Prices were reasonable, portions absolutely massive (could hardly finish it), set up in a buffet like style scenario where the employees scoop your plate for you based on what you prefer.
I enjoyed the food, for the most part, though it could have been warmer, after sitting under the heat lamp for a bit. Too, the process of getting it was somewhat slow, as, you're waiting behind multiple customers that dictates the movement. It took us about 30, 40minutes to get through the line, though, it was more on the person in front of us then the efficiency of the staff.
We bought the drink souvenir cup, and when we wanted our 99cent refill, we had to wait back in line which was super silly....
Still, for what it was, within a theme park and in a general area I wouldn't ever recommend for good eating, I was happy to finally score a...
