When this location opened I went there several times and always had good service and the food was fresh. the other evening around 6:30, I was hungry for fried chicken, so I went through the drive thru at Popeye's to get a 5 piece order of chicken strips. First of all I couldn't understand what the girl taking my order was saying because I don't understand Spanish, I get to the window and there are two women playing with the register. (I assume one was training the other) so one of the girls running the register, rang me up and started talking to me in Spanish again. Like I said I don't understand Spanish. Anyway I finally get my order after sitting there for almost 10 minutes. When I get home I opened the box to eat my meal. There's only 3 and less than a half of old dried out tenders, that were probably left over from lunch. I was hungry so I tried to eat it. The first couple of bites were really nasty, like it was cooked in old grease, so I ended up throwing it away. My dog wouldn't even eat it. Also the red beans and rice was old and cold and the biscuit was hard as a hockey puck. I just love throwing my hard earned money away. My go to chicken place used to be Chicken Express in Dripping Springs, but bad management, bad service, and bad food drove that place into the ground, the employees must have moved over to this Popeye's. What a shame to let a new location go down...

Extremely Disappointed with Popeyes' Declining Quality

I am utterly disappointed by the appalling quality of food served at Popeyes during my recent visit. The chicken I received was clearly past its expiration, leaving it dry, tasteless, and inedible. Despite attempts to salvage the meal with sauce, the chicken remained unpleasantly tough and unappetizing.

Additionally, the mac and cheese, which should have been a comforting side, was nothing short of a disaster. Instead of the creamy, cheesy goodness I expected, it resembled soup with chunks of old, congealed cheese. The overall state of the food was not only disheartening but also concerning for anyone who values their health.

As someone who used to enjoy dining at Popeyes, it pains me to see the drastic decline in quality and standards. The blatant disregard for food safety and freshness is unacceptable, and I cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment to anyone. The risk of food poisoning far outweighs any fleeting satisfaction one might derive from a meal here.
