McDonald's — Restaurant in Du Quoin

Wow! What a bunch of lazy employees. We went through the drive-thru for a sausage McMuffin with egg, hold the sausage, and a large half diet / half regular Coke. The gal across the speaker started squawking about how they can't mix drinks! What? All you do is have to ring it up as a large drink special, and walk your lazy self out to the dining room, I use that term loosely, and make the drink!! Instead, they insist we have to come inside and make her own beverage. 20 minutes later, my husband comes out with my drink mixed properly and we check the receipt later down the road. Instead of giving us the sausage McMuffin with egg hold the sausage as - it is only $3 and we don't get the meat on it. They chose to give us the bacon egg and cheese McMuffin without bacon, which is actually $3.69. Since McDonald's NEVER compensates for vegetarians and always charges for the meat whether you get it or not, it ticks me off that they rang up what they wanted to... guessing that a sausage McMuffin with egg hold the sausage was (whine) "too hard," like my large drink? The employees are rude, lazy, and had we not just been running through for a doctor appointment in DuQuoin, we would have never stopped here! This will not be another "restaurent" we stop at again, and I really hope the managers aren't as lazy as the employees and read this review! I would give you a negative * if I could... Normally, I don't go to fast food places at night, but I sat at the curbside service well over the alotted time. I called to ask if I was to come in to get my food, and I was told that when the order was received, they would fix it. It's funny how I waited 15+ minutes and watched cars pull in and leave the drive thru well before my order. I went into the establishment to get my own order, and I walked into utter chaos. The manager was yelling at the workers and vice versa. I am going to admit that I acted like a Karen. I told the girl who gave me my food that the manager needs to stop yelling like that and check her attitude. It was disgusting how they were acting towards each other. Duquoin Illinois Mcdonalds. Absolutely horrible customer service!! They forgot about us while we were dining in. Its Christmas eve and we stopped in for a bite to eat while waiting on someone to show us rings for a christmas present. The guy was going to be 20 mins or so, so we oredered chicken nuggets and some fries. Drive thru was all getting their food and we could hear the workers talking amongst themselves. All fine. But the ring guy met up with us before we even got our food!! Looked at 4 different trays of rings for about 15 mins and still no food. Manager came by and said no soliciting, completely understandable. Wel jus get our food to go. But no they had no clue that we were still there or that we had already ordered. Waiting for 30 mins for some chicken nuggets and fries... Im calling corporate...
