I was looking for a new place to try and this caught my attention. Actually, the picture of a burger did. Decided to give it a try. Unfortunately my friend and I got in right after a table of 12 and they ordered first. Thus, our food most likely took more time than usual to arrive. We waited at least 15 minutes. And when the food came, the order was a bit mixed up. I wanted chicken shawarma with rice, but got fries instead. My friend wanted beef shawarma with fries, but got rice instead. No biggie. They quickly brought a huge plate of rice for me. That was enough rice for 3 meals for me. Not only was the presentation great, the taste was excellent. My friend and I enjoy going to the Kebab Shop to get something similar. I tasted my friend’s fries and they were crispy. Our server even offered more sauces and I got a garlic sauce. I believe the garlic sauce was different from the white sauce that was already on my chicken shawarma. The only two things that it’s lacking are: 1) It takes longer to get the food than the Kebab Shop, but I can always order takeout ahead of time. 2) It does not offer a beef/lamb combo shawarma. But I would say this place clearly has the upper hand: better tasting food, more in portion, and free pita breads. I would even say this is now my favorite place for shawarmas in tri-valley. I have been trying to eat healthy so I was actually looking for some veggies. After finishing the meal, I asked the server and he said I could substitute the sautéed vegetables for rice. Great! I plan to try the beef shawarma with sautéed veggies next time.

This is one of the best Mediterranean places I have eaten at in the east bay. Love their interiors. The burning pizza oven is a good warm touch. Service was friendly and quick. We ordered quite a lot of food and ended up taking a lot of leftovers. The first thing we liked about the food was how fresh everything was. Including the goise made sauces and hummus. We began with the sampling platter which is enough for two adults and a kid. Loved the cheese burek and falafel was so crisp. I ordered beef shawarma which is my go to in most Mediterranean places. It was hands down one of the best I have had. So fine cut and grilled to perfection. My husband had the pea pesto pasta and he loved it too. My daughter had the BBQ pizza and it was fresh out of the oven. The bbq sauce was not up to what I am used to but my daughter liked it. A good choice for fine dining.

I felt so happy when I found this place , because I love Palestinian food . First of all the staff are very kind and presentable , the place is so clean and the interior decoration reflect the restaurant identity. The prices reasonable . The food is so delicious and made with Love , I ordered cheese/Zatar Managesh and Mesbaha , well presented , clean and delicious . The indoor setting is big, clean and organized . This place definitely for big family gatherings (maybe you have to book I am not sure) One thing the owners needs to improve , the outdoor ads , to tell people there is a restaurant here , I came to this location many times I never notice there is a restaurant open . I do recommend this place and I will visit again to try the other dishes. #love support Palestine

Unfortunately, there're no negative rates... I definitely would not recommend if you're or willing to have a good day!

We had the worst experience ever in this place specially my little daughter (5 yrs old):

First of all, They had very limited options, while placing the order I had to change both of the plates for my daughter and myself (as they ran out of the two plates that we chose out of the menu), so I had to order an adult plate for my kid!

After some time the order came, my kid was starving .. waiting for her penne pasta, almost every body got his food (a group of 16) then her plate came with the wrong pasta that she does not like (linguine), I called the waitress and told her that this is a wrong order (she took it). My kid was so frustrated and still starving..

So far, I considered that's normal.. mistakes happen ..everywhere..

In a while a guy came (the only guy there, looks like he is the manager/ owner of that place and a waiter too), bringing back the same wrong plate, he looked very nervous and was trying to push me to take the plate and that it was my own mistake... I was pretty sure about my order, my friend (sitting next to me, told him that she had heard me while placing the order, and That I was correct)!!!!!

For the sake of my starving kid I asked him to bring a new plate and I will pay for both plates ... do you think he stopped ??? No... he said ok , "wait then.. I'm not sure how long your new plate will take .. as we are busy serving a larger table there" !!!!!

I was speechless .. I could not imagine such rudeness & aggression.. in a restaurant.. for a wrong plate that I offered to pay for... around my 5 yrs old who was starving.. literally!

We waited for not to spoil our gathering.. our friends and other kids were having their food.

The correct order never came back...

We left... my kid didn't have her dinner, I had to buy her food from another place.

In a word, don't go to this place unless you are ready to explain to your little kids that rudeness exists and how he/she can tame their temper in such situations!!!

Very sad that stopping by this place for dinner spoiled a joyful day we had with our...

If you look at the negative reviews on this restaurant, you will find that many of them agree on one thing in common, a rude, disrespectful, and ill mannered manager.

This manager ( I think his name is Amjad, who also does the main job of taking orders, so you have no way to avoid him) enjoys very low level of communication skills with impolite attitude. He is usually discourteous when dealing with customers, whereas the basic rule of thumb for any restaurant is to be nice and courteous towards customers, and to provide the best service experience. However, this person indeed lacks such basics. His behavior details every expression of lack of politeness and courtesy, with arrogant, stupid, and hard minded behavior that makes him the least to fit in such kind of jobs.

I have had the privilege to experience his incivility and inconsiderate conduct when I asked him to be nice since he showed effrontery in his way of talking to us to resolve an issue, but he showed nothing but arrogance and carelessness to resolve the issue. He really doesn’t care losing customers. At this point, you really should refrain from argueing with such a stupid person since you will lose a lot by going down to his level of ignorance and stupidity. I feel sympathetic towards the employees working for him in this restaurant since they most likely have encountered his shameful manners.

The problem is, no matter what conversations you have with him, and no matter what advice and guidance you give to him, his unacceptable behavior is part of his innate characteristics, which makes him always psychologically prepared to adopt a defensive style with shameless actions against customers. This may make him fit for any job in the entire world, except dealing...

TL:DR - Just another restaurant run by an egotistical owner who thinks they have the best food in the world. Automatic gratuity for party of 4+ and babies count as full heads. Food is mediocre at best. It’s not worth the price. Stay away.

Service was good. The waitress was nice and helpful. The food aside from the Mediterranean plate was terrible. The beef Kufta was burnt and the beef kebab was well over done and tasted like rubber even though medium was requested (they asked how I wanted the kebabs done)

When we told our waitress she offered to remake but we didn’t want to wait that long because we had a baby with us. I asked they comp us or give us a bit of a discount and she said no problem. When the ticket came, there was a total of $4.25 discount on an otherwise $95 ticket for 4 dishes.

I asked the manager there as to why and he said that’s what the kitchen approved and kitchen is the owner. He also said another table complained of burnt kufta and kitchen didn’t accommodate them either. If your employees are openly saying things like that, you have a problem.

On top of all this, this place has the gall to charge an automatic 18% gratuity for a party of 4. Our group had 3 adults and a baby and the explanation was “we go by heads”. I’ve been to some of the finest establishments across the US and have never had any one of them count a child under 2 as a full headcount.

All in all, I would not recommend this place. I get having a bad day or something but most places I’ve been to own up to their mistake and take care of their customers. I wasn’t asking for a full comp or some ridiculous discount but $4.25 on $95 + 18% gratuity ticket is just disrespectful and speaks volumes about the owner and...
