We went to Mirchi in Dublin thinking of our the great food and experience we had at their Fremont location. First of all the atmosphere wasn’t welcoming. We went to find a place for ourselves and waited for a while until a guy showed up. The experience of ordering food wasn’t smooth at all. The guy had an attitude. Not sure why. We ordered our food and waited for a good amount of time. Which wasn’t an issue for us. Until another guy showed up and started reorganizing the tables and chairs by pushing and pulling them instead of properly moving them around. Every time they would pull/push a chair or table it would make a super irritating noise. I saw people in other tables being irritated too. Again, the guy didn’t care and kept doing that for about 5 plus minutes. I had a 16 mo baby and she was scared of the noise. Then there comes the food. Foods were too oily. But that’s not uncommon for a Pakistani restaurant. One the breads on our order was cut in half and thrown away the remaining half still had some black bits on it. We requested the waiter to bring us another bread as that half bread was first of all not eatable and secondly it wasn’t enough. Honestly, I wanted to pay for the additional bread but the guy didn’t like us pointing to the half missing bread. First he tried to justify it and let us why we were wrong for requesting another bread. Then he took the bread and didn’t even apologize for it, instead showed an attitude towards us as if we were doing something wrong. We were left with no bread for some time (5-7 minutes) and then he brought another bread that I think was intentionally left underbaked. I could feel the raw dough sticking to my mouth and hands. So left it alone. We had asked for sodas. They brought them warm without offering us if we wanted cold sodas or ice with it. There were two guys that have served us the food. The skinny guy was very professional and helpful. The other guy with longer hairs was unprofessional, unhelpful, annoying and rude. My complaint is about the latter. I don’t usually leave reviews but my family and I talked about our experience on the way back home and everyone of us expressed that our experience at this restaurant wasn’t good. Therefore , I decided to leave a review here for owner to take notice of what’s happening in...
Read moreIt's a shame I have to write this review for the Dublin branch since I'm a regular at Fremont and their staff is fantastic. I ordered my food well in advance of my arrival time. Once I got to the restaurant, my pickup was not only not ready but they had me waiting for an hour. After about half an hour of patiently waiting, I approached the cashier with a status request and he was absolutely rude and said people have been waiting longer than me. I gave him the benefit of doubt and walked away. However, after the next half hour when I asked again they said they needed to check and I should wait more. I cancelled my order and walked out and they didn't even bat an eye. Two horrible kids who have been tasked with handling customer service and they have no idea what they're doing. To identify them one is a white kid and the other is a brown kid with round glasses and long hair. Stay away from this branch and, if you get one of these two as your servers, God help you! Never going there again
Update: after I posted my initial review, this was the Owner’s response: “Once again I urge you to remove the offensive comments about describing our staff. This young man feels threatened by your behavior and we will not tolerate this. We reserve the right to serve whom we feel safe with. This includes our Fremont location.”
This is shameful! Instead of apologizing to me for terrible customer service you are defending the person who treated me so rudely! Furthermore, I stated in my review that I waited, very patiently, for almost an hour. At no point was I rowdy or impatient. That’s what grieves me that I was the one treated so poorly and you paint yourself as the victim. You should be ashamed of yourself for even writing a...
Read moreVery giving they also extended 20% during their soft to grande opening of great Napalese and some Chinese based dishes. Smells wonderful, fourth time, out of our price range post DiabloMags Tri-Val food Rest week, always find tastes that are newer to our palate. A bit pricey for families but always order Chai hot as cold and/or rainy for all four visits. Same funnyman host, out of context we enjoyed Bruno Mars one after lunch rush afternoon, we liked it! We especially appreciate the beyond life sized photoMURAL of the Nepal Mountains and makes it different for a good visit. The cashier/host is always quick. He is attentive server as well. One or two in back working...the BEST part of this place? Alot of working and made to order dishes it is NOT just scooped out onto a warm plate it is and takes a little longer cooked to order! Wow. Maybe not the long grain rice...goes good with curries too. We had a Mango Lasse and I've had hot tea before here, before rest week. CONSISTENT, even though not always same cook or food preparer, it's still great and yes, if possible I request NO Spice[chili],to fully enjoy all the traditional spices without that Heat!
