I hosted my two daughters birthdays there. I arrived 15 minutes before the party like I was asked I didn’t get anyone to help us check in until 10 minutes AFTER the party was supposed to start. While I was checking in the table still wasn’t set up for the party! When I asked what was going on and why it hasn’t been set the guy kept saying he doesn’t know that he was stepping in as a manager there from another location. Which is annoying because even as acting manage you still have things how they are supposed to be! You’re a manager from another location you should still know how to run one that isn’t yours. So now 20 minutes after the paid time I requested the table is just getting set! Gianni “the manager” was our host which was horrible he came to the table maybe TWO times! So sad we couldn’t find him anywhere. We kept having to ask the lady who was a host to two other tables to help us because she couldn’t find him either. Mind you the lady had about two or three tables that she was handling wonderful and he had just the one that he wasn’t paying attention to at all!! When he brought the pizza out he had the wrong pizzas! So of course I was upset because I place the booking online with the pizzas and the day before they called me to confirm the pizza. Oh and when I checked in they confirmed as well! Very annoying he said he was going to replace the wrong pizza and he would be back. He never came back with the right pizza! (First time he came to the table since we checked in) now it’s time to do cakes and I see all the other kids with their cakes they get ready to sing and I have to tell someone WAIT! My girls don’t have their cakes and here the comes (the manager) with my girls cake still in the box that still need the toppers all on it. I was so upset because all the other people got their cakes in enough time to put candles and set it up, here I am trying to rush putting everything because he was doing god knows what! (Second time to the table) at that point I was beyond over him and that location! I was mad because my guest could see how bad he was handling the party as well. It was just a overall horrible experience! His name was Gianni. It was so bad that I had guest tell me at the party and after to report how horrible he was the fact that he was late doing everything he had nerve to give us attitude every time he came to the table, especially when we asked questions! Like how can you be mad at me that you brought out the...
Read moreUpdate: 01.29.24. Unfortunately, the animatronic figures of Chuck E. Cheese & friends on stage have been covered, presumably removed. We had heard this was coming as other locations have been updated because today's families supposedly prefer a more contemporary experience. That translates to a large monitor screen, not classic Chuck E. & friends firing up every so often on stage. Our family is disappointed, but those older animatronics must be near the end of their useful life...hope they'll at least donate them to a museum. Seriously. Otherwise, our family had a fun time as always. Wish there were some coupons available. We have the CEC app, but there's been nothing except coupons for food in some time.
10.18.23 Wonderful family experience at the iconic Chuck E Cheese in Dublin, where we took our children years ago! Staff went out of their way to greet us, offer help as needed, and make us feel very welcome. Cute little rides for our wee one, hands-on games like skee ball, basketball, water games wherein the kids cannot get wet, plus electronic games, motorcycle racing, etc. for older kids on the other side. Had so much fun watching the vintage animatronics figures do their thing, and the kids joined in for a little dance party! Awesome place to have a birthday party, they take care of all of the details, you just show up with your guests and relax. No set-up, no clean-up! The place was very clean, which we did not expect, but were so happy to see. Tables were spotless, floors as well, the salad bar looked so inviting but we didn't have an opportunity to sit down for too long! Super easy access off of expressway 580, and other convenient routes as well. Ample free parking on weekdays a little tighter evenings and weekends as would be expected. Shopping center has other restaurants, so after the party is over and the pizza and cake have been eaten, AND the kids have fallen asleep in the car, grown ups can grab dinner to go to top off the day and save that leftover Chuck E Cheese pizza for the kids' lunch the next day! A big nod to the staff over there that really seems to care about people actually having...
Read moreWe had a terrible experience at Chuck E. Cheese in Dublin, CA.
We booked our son’s birthday party three weeks in advance and received a confirmation call from Chuck E Cheese three days prior.
Upon arriving at Chuck E Cheese at 11 am, we discovered that nothing was prepared for our birthday party due to "miscommunication" on the part of Chuck E Cheese. No table was set up, no sign board was displayed, and play passes were not ready for our guests. We had to wait until around 11:45 am to obtain play passes and set up the table. Even after the staff attempted to prepare for our party, many things were still not in order. Paper plates and water cups were not provided for our adult guests, despite our order for an additional large pizza in addition to the one that came with the Mega Pack. The Paw Patrol cake we had pre-ordered for our son was also unavailable, and our son was unable to receive a birthday hat, which was supposed to be included. Additionally, our guests were unable to receive Goody bags due to them running out. The entire experience was stressful and unacceptable, and we wished we could have simply walked away.
Throughout this ordeal, the manager did not seem to make any effort to assist us. She did not offer a single word of apology and merely explained that there was some miscommunication because it was the first time they had six birthday parties scheduled in the same time slot. If this is true, then why did they accept our reservation?
At the end of the party, the manager offered a 20% discount as compensation for our experience. We accepted it to avoid further hassle and paid $390+ for this nightmare.
We simply wanted to provide feedback on our extremely negative experience during our son’s birthday party. We have no intention of considering Chuck E Cheese for any future birthday parties and will share our experience with friends, recommending against having birthday parties at...
