A new and fabulous restaurant has opened in Dublin. The name is " Mom's Pho&Banh MI."

We've had the privilege of getting to know the owners and family as they were building their business. On top of being exceptionally nice ,the food is just fantastic.

My wife and I have had a number of the meals, and all were just delicious. You can see in the photos below some of the meals and appetizers that we have enjoyed. All were served piping hot and beautifully presented.

The appetizers we've enjoyed were the angel wings ( off the hook delicious), pot stickers, shrimp rolls with peanut sauce, pot stickers, and fried tofu. All were served hot!

The meals we've had are Chicken Pho,the Bun Bo Hue. A combination of beef, pork, and vermicelli in a rich beef broth. They have a marvelous selection of sandwiches. All served on a crispy ( and very fresh) French roll. I had the cold cut combo sandwich ( It puts Subway and other places to shame). My wife had a fish patties sandwich. It was really different and delicious. They have 14 sandwiches to choose from.

They also carry a large selection of coffee drinks, smoothies, fruit teas, and juices.

Do yourself a favor and dine in. The walls have been beautifully hand painted. That alone is worth seeing. I think the best part is it's a family run restaurant. Everyone we've had the pleasure of meeting has been just a joy to meet and get to know.

The restaurant is immaculate. Something I'm very picky about. They have also brought in large palm plants8 to obscure the view of the parking lot when you sit outside or in. It gives it a marvelous tropical feel. Do yourself a favor and try the place out. You will not be disappointed. Marvelous food and wonderful people always bring out the best...

A hidden gem for vietnamese egg coffee!

I go to San Jose a lot for viet coffee, and pho, and only a few places in the Tri-Valley hits that "pho itch" that I crave whenever I'm down in the south bay. Mom's Pho & Banh Mi was a total surprise as I've found that their Pho Dac Biet (with extra Bo Vien / Meat Balls) tasted exactly as I'd expect from a top tier pho restaurant. The broth was not too salty, and has a very strong umami and pho flavor, the noodles were cooked perfectly, and they had just the right portion of beef! My wife ordered the Vermicelli noodles with chicken, and it was also really good. They cooked and seasoned their chicken really well and for those who aren't into beef -- chicken's a great choice here.

Even though it was late, I also ordered their Egg Coffee to go. I had low expectations, considering some of the best egg coffees i've had were in San Jose, however the intensity of the coffee and the authenticity of the egg cream blew my expectations through the water. I'm not exaggerating, I've had many vietnamese egg coffee, and the ones they served here is top notch. The egg custard had a very nice eggy, salty, soft custardy, and sweet flavor that isn't over the top, and the vietnamese coffee itself was not too sweet and had a very strong coffee flavor. The long wait time is good! That's how you know they're brewing it from scratch.

Overall, a 5/5 for a pho restaurant in this area. I'd definitely come back many times even for just...

Saw this new place on Yelp and was in the mood for some Vietnamese food. Came in around 7pm on a weeknight. There were not many customers, but the server greeted me warmly.

I wanted to try many items, but I couldn’t eat all that. Thus, decided on a build-your-own-pho and chose 3 items: rare steak, brisket and tendon. I also got a B1: Cold cut combo banh mi sandwich.

The veggies for the pho were plenty and fresh looking. I was a little disappointed when my pho came. The “rare” steak was already buried under the pho soup and when I dug them out, they seemed like well done. That defeats the purpose of ordering rare steak. I’d like to control and eat the steak around medium or medium rare. The brisket was not bad, but the texture seemed to different from what I am used to. The tendon was good, but only had a few pieces. I like the soup and it didn’t taste like it had much MSG, if at all.

The cold cut combo banh mi seemed very appetizing. I’m sure the ingredients were fresh, but the flavor was a bit lacking and the seasoning was not balanced. Some parts of the sandwich felt like it needed more salt and some parts were too salty. I like how full and satisfactory with each bite, but just wished the flavor and seasoning were more on point.

I give this 3.5 stars, but with the service, bumped it up to 4 stars. I would come back again and perhaps try other items. Giving local mom-and-pop shops more chances as I’d like...

Love to see a new viet place open up! I try my best to eat at each one once as its a cuisine that is very dear to me. I've been here twice already and am still itching to return. Pho: One of the best I've had, ever; I haven't had too many other places recently but it was amazing. Great meatballs with the bit of crunch to them, tendon & tripe was cooked perfectly, amount of meat was perfect and not disappointing in any way. Broth was true to heart. My favorite local place to hit up now! Egg coffee: this is an absolutely delicious variant of viet coffee. A real treat if you can handle the coffee. Bun Bo Hue: Had just the right amount of spice to not destroy anyone, flavor was great. I only wish they had the pork blood but I know nowhere nearby has that... I tried it just because I wanted to review it and it honestly didn't disappoint. Kiwi & Banana smoothie: went out a bit on a limb here for this one, probably won't get it again. the flavors were fairly subtle and its definitely refreshing, just not on a cool evening. If I were in Vietnam climate.. I'm sure it would be delicious. All in all; this is the Viet place I'm recommending everyone try in the neighborhood. Their Pho is standout delicious and it seems to be a true small family business so enjoy the sweet homely environment while you can. The aesthetic is traditional with some modern flair, and they had the cutest uniforms that nod to viet culture.
