Wendy's — Restaurant in Dubuque

I dont bash on employers or anything like that but I just wanna put this out there as a personal experience working there this place is horrible and they could care less about people working there they will tell you they do care but when you have the gm screaming at a manager on the phone to the point where you can hear it from the back of your on van and it's not on speaker that's pretty bad and then they look at you and say it's being handled when it doesn't get handled all they do is band aid it and call it good nothing ever gets done about it I myself even went to the higher ups in corporate myself and they told me good luck with my next job I quit there do to the fact how nothing is handled and how hard they work you where talking tons of hours not that over time isn't nice but doing about 3 different jobs at the same time is exhausting the place literally is physically and mentally exhausting. Om top of everything the GM has said themseleves "if they want to be hear they can just leave" thay doesnt sound very professional to me and as well theres a lot of whos in whos buisness unfortunaly this review is to give a heads up to anyone who is thinking about going there unless corporate actually starts listening to there employess and actually disciplining people how they should be instead of letting them do what they want its a joke all together i Hope they treat future employees better way better...

This location is so unreliable. I continue to give them chances because it is closer to where I live and work but I am so furious. The only thing I can say is consistent about this location is how appalling service is. My order is wrong three out of five times, the staff are constantly rude (only two exceptions in two years). Today I went through with my partner who just got home from the doctor with a slipped disk. We were not looking for a culinary masterpiece, just something quick so we could get him home and laying down. We sat in the drive-thru for fifteen minutes waiting and then we received cold food, not a thing seemed to be the reason we waited so long. We were missing part of our order, received food we did not order, and when we called to let them know, we were hung up on. I bite my tongue often because I know to error is human, forgive divine, but I am through with that. I would rather drive all over the next three cities looking for food than come here ever again. This is generally the worst location in Dubuque and has been for years but as the saying goes "any port in a storm" so when this was the quickest and closest option I had trepidation. On what could be the perfect storm of a day I chose this location assuming it couldn't get worse so I chose to eat here and was pleasantly surprised.

The location was very busy and the staff was attentive and friendly which is rare here. The Spicy Chicken sandwich came as ordered (lettuce, tomato and onion NO mayo) which is also rare and didn't have to be remade. The fries were hot but uber salty and the other meals were perfect as well.

Although it was busy the dining room was a little messier than it should be and the garbages were overfull. However it was the best meal I have had at this location in several years. Kudos on getting the food worked out seriously because it will give another option in that part of Dubuque. Just a little more attention inside and all will be well...
