âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ The Fudgery â A Sweet Stop for the Whole Family!
Our family had such a fun and delicious experience at The Fudgery in Scarborough Lane! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly smiles and the irresistible smell of fresh fudge being made right on the marble slabs. The staff made it an experience, not just a stop for dessertâthey were upbeat, welcoming, and so patient with our kids while explaining all the flavors. The fudge is outstandingâcreamy, rich, and made right in front of you. We loved sampling before choosing, and it was hard to decide since every flavor was amazing (the classic chocolate and peanut butter swirl were family favorites). They also offer great deals if you buy multiple pieces, which is perfect for families or gifts to bring home. Beyond fudge, they serve hand-scooped and soft-serve ice cream with fun mix-ins, so everyone can find something they love. Watching our kids get to pick toppings and see their sundaes come together was a highlight of our trip. Portions are generous, and prices are very reasonable for the quality and size. The shop itself has a cheerful, welcoming vibe and plenty of room to browse. Itâs located right in Scarborough Lane Shopping Center, so itâs easy to pop in while exploring Duck. Overall, The Fudgery is a must-visit in Duck for familiesâwhether you want a quick ice cream, a fudge sampler to share, or a sweet gift to take home. Between the delicious treats, the fun atmosphere, and the wonderful staff, this stop truly made our Outer Banks trip extra special. Weâll...
Read moreOf all the ice cream on OBX this is the worst place to go to. They are now per ounce pricing, but make you get a minimum of 2 scoops. Is it scoops or ounces? 2 scoops is a lot. I didn't even mind the pricing being per ounce (which NOBODY else does) but we all wanted 1 scoop. We were told it's a 2 scoop minimum and then she made them huge scoops. Then they weigh your ice cream, which doesn't zero out on the scale, and you pay per ounce. So is it scoops or ounces?! She loaded up one cone with .95 lb of ice cream! And, you don't get to tell them how big of a scoop, you just get what you get. There are also toppings you can add, but those add weight and raise the price. (Like Sweet Frogs does)
Horrible business model to be in this area. No wonder the line was so short.
Nobody had any complaints about the actual ice cream. It was good. That's why they get a 2nd star. But a couple people couldn't even finish theirs because of the 2 scoop policy.
They also close at 8 because of their location. Plenty of ice cream joints within walking distance to not even...
Read moreThe moment you walk inside your senses are filled with the wonderful smells of the freshly made fudge and ice cream. The fudge is made right in front of you. They have dipped apples, customizable dipped marshmallows, and all different goodies. The ice cream is delicious. My favorite treat is the fudge chiller, it is so refreshing and has a good sweet taste. Some flavors are a little too sweet, so be sure to taste test before the buy. Prices are slightly up there but it is definitely worth it. My family comes here every year and walk out paying well over $80. This is a must visit place! I highly recommend it! Be sure to ring the bell and hear the workers say "It's fudge time!" -Emily Seelye...
