*Sushi & Co is the best and most consistent Sushi and Japanese restaurant in the area (and I’m talking a very big area) by far!

From the moment that you walk into the authentic, family owned, beautifully decorated, and extremely clean restaurant you can feel the love and warmth as Mrs. Soo (Soon-yi) greets you with her gracious smile!

Their salad is a great mix of spring greens, radishes, cabbages, cucumbers and tomatoes…and the ginger dressing is phenomenal! Uno-San hand makes the ginger dressing in small batches and it’s so good that we keep a bottle of it at home at all times.

You can not go wrong with any of the appetizers or entrees as Uno’s mother is the chef in the kitchen and you would think that you were eating in their original home just outside of Tokyo. For example, the miso soup is full of umami, the tempura is light and crispy, and the entrees are all delicious and comforting.

As far as the sushi goes, there is no better Itomae in Atlanta than Uno-San! He prepares his nigiri in edomae style often using seafood flown in from Toyosu that will easily satisfy a true aficionado, as he often cures or ages his fish using traditional practices. And the varying techniques of his knife skills are constantly on display in his presentations. He also caters extremely well to those who prefer traditional maki or American style rolls. His signature Blue Fin roll is always a hit to everyone at our table! He is a true Shokunin!

It’s also worth noting that they have wonderful desserts and a great drink list with unique sake and beer selections!

*Disclaimer: I’m a former sushi chef and a loyal and regular customer who often takes pictures of their food, because I...

Great atmosphere, great food, and great Sushi & Company.

Located off of PIB and Duluth Hwy is Sushi & Co. The restaurant is just about the right size, not too big and not that small either. The interior design has a rustic/steampunk kind of feel to it. Lots of thought was put into the decor. A few of the decorations were actually done by the sushi chef.

You can either sit a table or at the sushi bar. I could see this place filling up easily based on the layout and limit number of tables. The size is just about right, any bigger than they would need a bigger staff.

The menu is authentic in terms of variety. Lots of traditional Japanese dishes beyond the sushi and sashimi. The sashimi is very fresh, nothing tasted too old or fishy. Everything was prepared just right.

Overall, a great experience! Definitely planning on making this a regular...

This is one of our favorite Japanese restaurants. We have been a customer since they were Bluefin sushi. We frequent the restaurant almost once a week. I wish they bring back the variety of the kitchen/hot food they use to offer. (We miss the miso and chashu ramen and their signature fried rice!) However, we continue to return as a regular, as the quality of the food and service is always top notch. The sushi chef is one of the best around town. He is meticulous and everything is precisely cut with amazing presentation. They always have the FRESHEST sashimi in town and the highest quality. We always feel welcomed and cared for like a close friend when we visit. Sake selections are amazing. Highly recommend if you are in the mood for authentic Japanese. (Side note: best Philadelphia role in town, ask for Chef's choice of sashimi and try the...

My friend suggested we tried out this new place she heard about, and I’m so glad I agreed to go. The place has a quaint and romantic ambiance with slightly dim, starry lights. It’s very small, but cozy. The food was spectacular in both taste and presentation. I ordered the fried oysters and rainbow roll. The oysters were nothing I’ve ever tasted before. Fried to a crisp on the outside but fluffy inside. Almost soufflé like. The rainbow roll came out like art. You can tell the chef is really into his craft. The service was top notch. Our waitress was extremely friendly and hospitable. She even brought out a little container so I can take home a piece of the roll that looked like a butterfly perched on a rock. Lol. It’s so nice of her to play along with my childish whims.

Did I just die and go to heaven? We were pleasantly surprised to find this amazing traditional sushi restaurant, just as you would find in Japan. As you drive by, you might think it's a strip mall joint, but enter and you will be amazed, comforted, and totally satisfied, leaving to only want more. Everything was fresh, every bite to savor. Prices reasonable. Presentation top notch as you can see in photos. Service was above expectations. My hot tea was consistently filled and hot. The atmosphere is inviting (white brick, neon signs, every table and set of chair different). So glad my daughter recommended this place. If you don't try this place, you're missing out on a true Japanese culinary experience!
