First impression: it was good but mid. I would come back occasionally.
The first time I went the lines were out the door, wait time for a pancake was 1 hour, and there wasn't any seating. Since I had time restraints, I ordered croffels togo (20-30 min wait). In the meantime I took some time to check out the neighboring Japanese store. I would recommend doing that. There wasn't anywhere to sit once my order was done, so I went to ding tea next door and order a drink there to be able to sit down and eat the croffels. I ordered tiramisu, cookies and cream, and my friend order the egg btl one. I recommend the egg btl one, it's way better than a sweet option. But if you want a sweet one, get the cookies and cream. The tiramisu is overrated and not worth it. Its just the same as the cookies and cream flavor (whipped cream and chocolate sauce, no coffee flavor present).
For my second experience: It was actually really calm, there weren't a ton of people there initially. I went with someone else and we were able to get a table and ordered the pancakes without a long wait time. The dine in presentation is a lot better than carryout. So, if you want the best experience, I would recommend try to dine in if possible. The cashier was nice as well. More people arrived and things got more hectic as we were about to leave, but for a while it was pretty calm.
The pancakes: It's definitely a dessert, not something to eat for breakfast or consume as a full meal. I ordered the raspberry with caramelized banana with added strawberries. It came with 3 pancakes, and one plate is big enough to share with 2 people, in my opinion. The pancake itself tasted like egg and almost reminded me of puffy pancakes (which are baked in the oven, dense and eggy). The pancakes barely had any flavor and didn't have sweetness.. so ask for extra sauce to smear on them as you would for regular pancakes with syrup (raspberry is the best in my opinion. I tried strawberry as well but it wasn't as good.). They don't put fruit/ sauce or cream in between the stack of pancakes either. I would ask them to do that next time to see if it's possible, as well as get additional sauce ($1.00 extra). If you want strawberries and raspberries, you can get them additionally with the raspberry caramelize banana with no problems. The strawberry pancakes alone probably won't be as good as the raspberry caramelized banana with added strawberries. Aside from the banana being on the outside, there was no presence of banana via sauce or inside the pancake.
All the pancakes and sweet croffles are served with ice cream (dine in and carry out).
Overall, I would say the occasional purchase is good- with the modifications. I wouldn't recommend the pancakes by themselves because they do not have much sweetness or flavor aside from the egg taste, making them not super appealing or remarkable. The raspberry sauce makes it all work. The price is a bit high, but with all the fresh fruit you get and inflation included, it makes sense for them to upcharge. In comparison to IHOP, the price is maybe $4-3 more to a specialty...
Read moreI came on opening day with some friends and we were excited because of all the good reviews and marketing from instagram. Needless to say, it will be a very very long time before we come back if we decide to.
First off, they offered a tote bag for the first 50 people in line for their grand opening days. While it is not their fault that many people cut in line (quite literally entire families) nor people that got their tote bags and immediately left the line not purchasing anything, but how the event was organized that could have better prevented this. Also, coupled with the place opening about 15 minutes late really soiled our mood, but we still looked forward to the food.
I do have to say, it was nice that they provided some samples and water while we waiting in line for the late opening. The cashier that took our order was nice and professional as well and helped us with questions that we had with the menu.
Unfortunately, the food that we received did not live up to its expectations. We ordered 3 pancakes from the deluxe and premium sections priced at 15.99 and 14.99 each and 2 drinks, an oreo frappe and a mango "latte". I don't even know where to begin with this. The oreo frappe came out way before our pancakes and was halfway melted by the time we received our entire order. It did not taste good and we ended up having to throw it away with about 60% of the drink left... a waste of money. The mango "latte" was even more of a disappointment as it was just a sprinkle of mango puree and the rest whole milk. We had really hoped it wasn't our drink when we watched the employees make it. We even asked if this was the mango latte to which the employee verified that it was. Next, the pancakes. We got the blueberry cheese, tiramisu, and creme brulee pancakes. They looked aesthetically nice and somewhat fluffy. However, the creme brulee pancake had hair in it and there was dust? on the serving trays of the other pancakes. Honestly, I'm not surprised as while we were waiting, I was looking into the kitchen and noticed chefs cleaning the mixing bowls with dirty rags and multiple employees in there not wearing any type of head covering. The "syrup" that came with the tiramisu pancake was congealed and had a weird consistency to it. Furthermore, the blueberry cheese pancake had what seemed and tasted like burnt cheese on the bottom making it rubbery and inedible. I ended up throwing the pancake away after having about half of it. All in all, was very disappointed and not worth the time we spent waiting nor the amount...
Read moreMy wife and I recently stopped by Fluffy Fluffy in Duluth, GA for a mid-day treat, and overall, we had a really enjoyable experience. The space is clean, modern, and cozy — the kind of café that makes you want to sit down, relax, and enjoy something sweet or savory.
My wife ordered the Avocado Croffle, which came beautifully plated. It featured a creamy layer of avocado on top of their signature croffle — a crispy, buttery croissant-waffle hybrid that was both light and satisfying. It was a surprisingly harmonious blend of textures and flavors, offering a refreshing and unique take on a classic avocado toast-style dish. She absolutely loved it and said she would get it again in a heartbeat.
I opted for the Nutella Banana Pancake, and let me tell you — it was phenomenal. The pancakes came out fresh, super warm, and with just the right amount of Nutella and sliced bananas on top. The pancakes were incredibly fluffy and practically melted in my mouth with every bite. At first glance, I didn’t think I’d be able to finish all three generously sized pancakes, but they were so light and well-made that I ended up polishing off the entire plate. No regrets!
We visited around lunchtime and were pleased to find plenty of seating available. The staff was polite and attentive, and our food came out in a timely manner.
However, I am dropping one star from my review due to an uncomfortable incident that occurred while we were eating. A homeless individual walked into the restaurant and began asking customers for money. While I completely understand that this isn't directly the restaurant's fault — and my heart goes out to anyone struggling — it did disrupt the relaxed atmosphere we were enjoying. It was a bit concerning that someone could just walk in off the street without any staff intervention. I do hope the management considers putting in place a bit more security or a protocol to handle such situations, especially during busy meal times.
That said, the food and overall vibe of Fluffy Fluffy are still wonderful. I'd absolutely recommend checking them out if you're in the Duluth area. Their menu is unique and filled with fun twists on classics — we’ll definitely be back to try...
