Kingsmen Coffee — Restaurant in Duncanville

Coffee shop lovers, listen up!! I’ve been searching for a quaint, non-chain based coffee shop in my area, and I’ve never had any luck, until now! This coffee shop is adorable, the interior is designed in such a modern, yet cozy style and its two story!! It’s not huge, but very spacious, full size tables for studying upstairs and downstairs, and nice lounge furniture as well. Upstairs has a huge TV, games, comfy lounge sofas, and a multipurpose office space that can be used for recording podcasts and such. Not to mention, the Biblical meaning of the name “Kingsmen” is a nice touch as well! Coffee wise, my drink was perfect (I had an iced cinnamon latte, with lavender). They seem to have a good variety of coffee/tea and treats on the menu! Really, the entire vibe of the place is great. Customer service wise, the staff members were all very friendly, and I met one of the owners (Jimmy) who was so personable and kind. Jimmy says they host live music and events like poetry nights, Bible studies, networking and more. Overall, this coffee shop is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I feel so fortunate to have this amazing coffee shop 20 min from my house! Talk about an incredible local place! I googled coffee places after hiking Cedar Ridge with a girlfriend and called to see if they have outdoor seating. The very kind and polite woman assured me dogs are allowed on the patio. I pull into a very unassuming parking lot and find Kingsmen between an auto parts store and discount furniture store. I walked in and immediately was WOWed by the most beautiful coffee shop! It doesn’t stop there. Andrea was an absolute joy to be greeted and served by. Any employer would be proud to have an employee like her. My friend ordered a bagel sandwich and I got the oatmeal bowl. We each ordered coffee. The food looked just delicious as the pictures! It was absolutely delicious and the coffee was perfectly roasted. Andrea was so thoughtful to apologize (totally unnecessary) for the long wait, but we definitely didn’t mind. I thought it was exemplary on her part to say something and acknowledge it. She even offered a pup cup for my dog. We made sure to tip appropriately to denote our wonderful experience there. I will tell everyone to run to Kingsman Coffee. I’ll be back and bringing everyone to experience this awesome...

Honestly, this is one of the classiest coffee shops in the entire DFW area. Even that statement doesn’t quite do it justice. This is the kind of place I would bring someone if I wanted to impress them without breaking the bank. That said, the pricing is not outrageous. It is actually very reasonable.

You can really tell the owner put a lot of thought and care into the design of the space. I sat in the upper loft, which was a great spot. From there, you can watch people come in while relaxing in a comfortable chair and getting some work done.

The customer service was truly above and beyond. The staff were extremely kind. I would return just for the service because everyone was so friendly.

I only ordered a coffee, so I cannot speak to the pastries or food. However, everything looked fresh and fairly priced. That is a huge plus if you want to stay and work for a while since you can grab something to eat without having to leave.
