Had such a lovely dinner here with my husband. The wait staff was very attentive and kind. The place was full, but we waited only about 2 minutes to be seated. The wait staff quickly went to clean the just emptied table so we could sit down. Most places have the waiters wait for the bus boys to clean it but at this place everyone pitches in. The food was excellent 👌 We started with an order of Minestrone soup. It tasted so fresh and homemade. It was a perfect start to a chilly evening. Warmed us right up! Our entrees we're served piping hot. I had Shrimp Spaghetti in Olive Oil and the shrimp were huge and very fresh! Tasted like they just came out of the ocean. Amazing. My husband had lasagna topped with grilled chicken. It was hearty and tasty. The waiter checked on us repeatedly throughout the evening and was very attentive. We did wait a bit long for the table bread due to the restaurant's high orders of pizzas they had to make. Our waiter was very apologetic about the situation and kept us posted on the time for the bread to come out. It wasn't too bad. We still had half out entrees to eat by the time the bread came out, nice and hot. The waiter's concern for us made it not so bad. This is a great place to have a nice quiet dinner. The place is small and cozy with a relaxing feel. Afterwards you can walk around the cute shopping center and pick up some coffee or tea in the establishment around the corner. It made for a wonderful date night. I highly recommend this...
Read moreWhat happened? I used to live in Duncanville near this restaurant. We ate there frequently and never really had a bad experience. Today I was back in town and took my daughter for lunch. It seems as if the air conditioner wasn't working and it was about 85 degrees inside the building. You can understand these things in the summertime. However, our waitress is the older lady who has been there for as long as I can remember. She's pretty short on personality but that's okay since the food is usually pretty good. However today I had an experience in which I will probably never go back. As we were eating our salads, I glanced over and noticed something moving in my daughter's salad. I quickly pulled it away from her and discovered a German cockroach crawling around in the lettuce. I immediately brought this to the attention of the waitress once I found her. She Shrugged her shoulders and asked if I wanted another salad. Of course not, the roach didn't jump into the salad after it was made. There were no offers of accommodation, nor were there any apologies. She simply said the exterminator will be here soon. How do you get over that kind of experience? You know the roaches are probably crawling around the kitchen. This was unacceptable. Later speaking to a couple of locals, I learned that they've kind of gone downhill lately. It's a terrible thought for a restaurant I used to...
Read moreFirst off this place looked nice to go eat at as we drove by alot of other restaurants on street but they packed. Roma's only had two guests so we stopped in. The complimentary bread looks baked and fresh out oven but it felt reheated die ro the inside being cold or luke warm. The appetizer of the fish rings were luke warm as well not freshly made you can they are from frozen stock. Lasagna was ok I have had better frozen dishes from walmart than this also it was really hot on inside but warm on top (microwaved) you tell by splatter on edge of plate. Chicken alfredo was probably the best plate but not hot also luke warm. My wife had the grilled chicken plate and she had to had so much chilly pepper and parmesan cheese and salt to give it flavor from what she said. We also had the pizza which also dissatisfied us as well which my son loves pizza and he even said mommy's pizza is better which I agree. Mommy's pizza is the frozen LeBron brand from walmart. Dont let me forget I ordered a drink and never got it the whole night. As we left we handed a homeless man our left over pizza at least he was happy to have something (not good) but filling...
