Went to have dinner at this location being we weren't getting good customer service or food at the White Marsh location so we decided to go to this location. We were sat down at our table and was told sorry we have no silverware together and gave us rolls with plates with only 1 fork and napkins. We placed our order for our beverages and it took along time to get them in addition an extremely long time time get silverware which we couldn't eat our rolls because we only had a fork. We placed our food order. My husband got the sirloin steak meal with a mashed potatoes and chili. My daughter and I ordered the smothered chicken meal with cheese and I also order the same for my to go order. My daughter asked for a loaded sweet potato and broccoli. I ordered mashed potatoes with white gravy on the side along with green beans. My to go order was the same exact thing has my meal. They didn't bring my husband's chili or A1 steak sauce despite asking several times along with silverware,my daughter's sweet potato wasn't loaded, her broccoli was yellowish/ brown and the onions on bother our meals still had onion peels that were cooked on them. When we had to ask another host for rolls ,silverware he was nice and broght them. When they brought my husband's chili was sloppy ,it had chili all on the outside of the bowl.It looked like they just sloppily plopped it into a bowl. When our waitress went to finally bring our refills, rolls and silverware she noticed that we got them from another host. She then Not so nicely placed what she brought us on our table . She rolled her eyes shaking her head has she left our table. After speaking to the manager she continued to look our way with rolling her eyes ,shaking her head even laughing. She then tried bring my to go meal well before we were done eating. I explained once again we didn't want the to go meal til we were about ready to leave because it was for my Mom who resides in a nursing and that we would have no way to rewarm her food. She still had a nasty demeanor when I explained this to her. We finally finished our meal and we left. My mom's food wasn't warn and the nursing home is a short 5 ride from Texas Roadhouse. Her meal was missing her gravy to her smothered chicken. We waited about an hour just to get our food, smh! We spent alot of money on 4 meals and 3 drinks to recipes such awful...
Read moreSo, I wasn't feeling very well, but I wanted to take my 7 year old out for kids night (we had never been there for kids night). Sat at the table and the waitress was very prompt in taking our drink order. Being that I wasn't feeling well, I wanted something hot to drink. I was then told that they didn't have hot tea and, get this, "the coffee pot was empty". Talk about mind blowing. My snake bite appetizer had very clearly been microwaved and not deep fried like they are supposed to be. They were the color of sand (the color before cooking) and they were barely warm, flat globs of mush. The disappointment was overwhelming considering how much they charge for them. I told the waitress and she takes them to one of the three managers on duty Warren, Eric, or maybe Brittany. Not one of them came to visit my table or showed any concern. Caroline, the waitress comes back to the table and tells me that they are going to take them off of my check. I wouldn't have ordered them if I didn't want them. She didn't even ask if I would like a new order (not that I would have said yes at that point, too much disappointment already for one evening). So I'm trying to enjoy the rest of my dinner, when all of a sudden the music was turned up so loud that when Caroline came to check on us, I couldn't even hear her. I have had that same musical experience there on multiple occasions. I was told by another employee that it is done intentionally to keep people from lingering at the tables too long. (Sad, isn't it?) Then to put the icing on the cake, as you come in the front door, hanging from the ceiling above the hostess station there is a sign for kids night advertising that you can enter a drawing for a sports jersey. Well, guess what, nobody seemed to know anything about it, not even the guy who runs the kids night activities! He told me that he would have to talk to his boss and if I give him my phone number, he could call me tomorrow. Wow, what a disappointing experience all around. Texas Roadhouse on Merritt Blvd. has definitely lost my family as customers. There will have to be some major changes made before we go...
Read moreService started off great and then took a turn. Came in to eat after my daughter ballet recital nearby our server came over promptly and took orders. This is where it went downhill. Though she came off as nice she never came to check on us until the check. I waited 25 minutes for my porch rocker which I get it I work in the service Industry too bartenders have the bar guests and service bar but how do I get my salad and not even a water to wash it down with. Couldn’t even ask the waitress for one since she never came back. The bartender dropped off my drink and I asked her for more dressing for my salad and rolls since we didn’t get any cause they were cooking when we sat but our waitress never brought any to us. She said she would tell our server we were looking for her but of course she never came back to even check with us after told we needed something but she checked on the table behind us and skipped over our table. Didn’t see her again until entrees came and even then she dropped them got my water finally and some rolls and then we didn’t see her again until the check. But again she asked the table behind us if their food came out okay. She checked on them multiple times but never us. I’m not sure if she assumed we weren’t going to tip or what but I always tip 20% unless the service is horrible like today and even then I still leave something at least 15% since I know servers live off tips usually. At the end as we were waiting for the check with plates sitting for a while not cleared off the table the manager came over to ask if everything was okay. I’m not one to complain at the table and or tell who our server is they need their jobs just like anyone else but maybe she should get some coaching and counseling. And I love this restaurant usually go to Columbia location. This location just wasn’t great today.
The manager must of sensed I was annoyed because then the owner came over to see about us. He and the hosts were the only thing nice about that...
