Five-Star Experience with a Side of Smoke (Literally!)

Went to Miggs as a party of three with my sister and her husband, and we were blown away by the food and drink—truly a culinary gem! My sister enjoyed a glass of red wine, while my brother-in-law ordered their blackberry sangria, which came loaded with fresh fruit—it was basically a fruit salad in a glass! A fun and tasty bonus at the end of the drink (yes, I definitely stole a piece of apple!).

We started with the Asian calamari and bruschetta—both were phenomenal. The calamari was perfectly cooked in a light tempura batter and topped with a flavorful Thai chili sauce. Far from the typical salt-and-pepper seasoning—this had real depth and originality.

And I savored every bite of the scallops.

Each dish was beautifully presented and packed with delicious, well-balanced flavors. We couldn’t stop commenting on how great everything tasted.

The only downside of the evening was the heavy smoke in the restaurant coming from the open kitchen. It was noticeable enough that our eyes were burning a bit by the end, and we left smelling like we'd just had dinner at a hibachi grill. Definitely something for the restaurant to improve with better ventilation and AC.

Still, the food and experience were so good that we’ll absolutely be back—next time, we might just opt for outdoor seating. Can’t wait...
