I have been craving sushi so I used the Google machine and found this glorious place.
TL;DR Pick them. This place is amazing, don't hide behind your screen and talk trash about a place after leaving with compliments and a smile.
I sat at the bar and I asked for what they would like to eat but being in the service industry, that's dangerous. You don't know what they like and it sucks to put thought into something that is unliked or rejected. I get it.
I asked them to suggest two rolls and both were wonderful. I had the volcano roll and the lemon tree which I highly suggest. I didn't see on the wall the special things that they had to offer which is something one should always do when going into a restaurant. This was my mistake.
I type this because I saw that they had toro. Fatty tuna and if you're turned off by the words 'fat' or 'marbled', this is not for you. May you stay blissfully unaware without your life being gloriously changed by a slice of fish.
This fish it is unmatched., it most literally melts in your mouth.
This is not the kind of bite you chew and swallow quickly. This is the bite you savor and let cover your entire mouth and chew very slowly before blessing your digestive system beyond this point. Omega 3, fatty acids; this is generally super good for you and the endorphin rush I get from truly thoughtful food is not on any menu. However, when I am served truly good food, it happens and that is my true craving as far as food is concerned. My two most prominent expression of love are acts of service and quality time, they reciprocated and it was euphoric.
I needed it so badly and no one even knew. They delivered edible hugs and had absolutely no idea.
I would like to give some attention to the fact that I think that proprietors are nervous about people giving the 'verbal compliment'. That means that people say super nice things but then either leave negligible tips or write garbage reviews possibly in hopes that the establishment will apologize for something that actually makes no sense and offer something. Sadly these people exist and are neither the rule nor the exception, we in the service industry have no way of knowing until the aftermath. "We'll tip you at the end" is usually the kiss of death.
Give credit where credit is due.

Read moreFor our regular Sunday lunch with our daughter and granddaughter, I decided to try one of the Yelp featured local places. And I’m glad we did! It was an awesome experience.
We arrived around 1:00 PM and were seated right away. Our waitress brought us menus and water. Now I am not a huge sushi fan (I first had sushi in Tiawan in 1969) but I had agreed to try several cooked versions. We ordered the Shumai steamed shrimp dumplings and the Gyoza pork dumplings while we were deciding on the rolls.
My wife wanted the Shinto Box with Shrimp Tempura and Kana roll plus rice and Gyoza.. Granddaughter chose kids Chicken and Rice. My daughter and I finally agreed on the Spicy Crunchy Shrimp roll, the Spider roll and the Mexico roll, I think. Then our appetizers came. Now I do love dumplings, and the Gyoza were excellent. I did ask for hot sauce and the closest they had was Wasabi. The Shumai was also great just a different kind of dumpling.
Then our meals came. I must say that Cindy, our waitress, was fantastic! We felt as if we were the only customers, but we weren’t. She was that great. All the food was great. My wife loved the Bento box. Granddaughter enjoyed the Chicken & rice & broccoli. The rolls were all great, my favorite was the Spider roll and crunchy soft shell crab. My wife even tried the Spider roll!
Then we tried dessert, not from hunger, we had enough left over to take home a box for another granddaughter! But I gave in to the “girls.” There were some thick ice cream balls, they loved ‘em, me not so much. Also fried bananas long slices in a thin batter. They were great.
