I've been looking for a good local Greek restaurant and stumbled across this one. Gave it a shot and was very impressed. My wife and I ordered the chicken souvlaki plates and the portion sizes were huge. We probably could've shared one as each came with 2 skewers with large chunks of chicken, a huge portion of rice, a side Greek Salad and our choice of dessert. Aside from the sizes, the chicken and rice were cooked to perfection and the tzatziki was delicious. I wasn't a huge fan of the dressing for the salad but it wasn't bad it was just not as tasty as some I've had from other Greek restaurants and seemed to be more of just an oil and vinegar blend. My kids got the kids cheeseburger meals and there was nothing kid sized about the burger or the fries. They both loved their meals. The desserts were insanely good as well. We chose a slice of carrot cake and a slice of chocolate mousse cake The people who own the restaurant seemed very nice and caring. If you are looking to eat there only a few tables are available but this is a great place to get takeout. I took some photos of the latest menu as well because the latest I saw online had outdated info/prices. Glad to support a local business with good people and I would highly recommend this place. I'll be back to try more from the...
Read moreTucked away in the far end of the Winn Dixie shopping center, it would be easy to overlook this newish family-owned Greek restaurant, BUT DON'T! OMG, we had the BEST lunch here today! My wife enjoyed a pita gyro ($6.99), and brought half home for another meal. She said the meat was perfect, and she loved the tzakziki sauce. It was all I could do to finish a "regular" size Greek salad ($7.25), with great potato salad smothered in lettuce, onion, bright-red tomato slices, peppers, olives and more, with a side of Greek dressing. I'm trying to at least arrest my weight gain, so it was all I could do to bypass two glass cases of beautiful house-baked pastries. I still might sneak out tonight for a gorgeous baklava ($2.99, and it's about a foot long!) It's calling to me and they're open til 8... And the brownies! OMG, they must be 6 x 6", for $2.49. Everybody who came in while we ate agreed: "We'll be back!" Restaurants come and go in Dunedin all the time. Please help us make sure this one's here to stay!!! Don't take my word for it: read the other reviews here. This is a wonderful, friendly place with an impressive menu of Greek specialties and comfort food. The icing on the coconut cake: where else can you get both Coke and Pepsi...
Read moreWow! What a treat that we don't have to drive to tarpon springs to get delicious authentic Greek food! We ordered the chicken souvlaki platter and two kids burgers and they were more then we expect it! The servings are huge, the ziki sauce is delicious (and huge, I ordered extra thinking I wouldn't have enough but I didn't realize how big of a container they give you) My kids couldn't finish the huge burgers and my husband and I decided to share the salad and save the other salad that comes with the platter for tomorrow. We are more than full and have dinner for tomorrow night! We're so stuffed that we don't even have enough room to eat the delicious dessert that came with it. I did try a couple bites of the cheesecake, which is probably the best cheesecake I've ever tried. The owner makes it homemade there. Which leads me to the fact that the owners a husband and wife are so kind and generous! It seems that they put their heart and soul into this place. We will definitely be back again and we will tell all of our friends about this...
