Subway — Restaurant in Dunedin

Food was fine. We walked in and could see a worker sitting in the back eating. We were talking when we walked in and loud enough to hear. She never even looked up, kept eating. We gave her the benefit of the doubt... maybe she was on break...and sure enough another worker walked out of the bathroom. Ok, great, we thought, someone will help us. But nope never saw that employee again. We talk louder, employee is still eating. We wait a bit and see a bell. I ask the person I am with if we really need to ring the bell since clearly we are customers and ready to order. Eventually we ring the bell and the employee gets up, stops eating and helps us. She wasnt mean or rude but couldn't figure out how to use our gift card and wouldn't even try to type it in when we asked. I hope Subway Corporate reads these reviews. I work next door to this location at Minuteman Press. I have lunch there at least 4 days a week. I have the receipts to prove it. Shani Castro is the manager, and someone needs to put up a monument in her honor. I watched her work from open to close, BY HERSELF, during the first months of the pandemic. Tirelessly waiting on customers, doing online orders, and keeping the sandwich line going with a smile, no matter what. Her dedication to the business and to her employees goes above and beyond. The people who work for her are equally dedicated to their jobs, and always have a smile. Thought I was the only one who still believed in job loyalty and giving 110%. Is so awesome to see that it's still out there, right next door. Every company should have employees like this. If I could give more stars here... I would fill...

I work in customer service so this was clearly not good... I went into this subway at around 8pm on January 8th. I asked for 2 foot longs. One was a double meat steak and cheese. I asked the sandwich artist if she could please heat the meat separately because I don’t want the sandwich toasted. She said word for word “ I’m not going to do it separately like that because the girl who does the dishes already went home”.... so I turned around to see what time they closed on the door. It says 11. I proceeded to ask her what time the store closes. She said 11. So she couldn’t have washed the 1 dish within 3 hours by herself? Pure laziness. Every other subway will do this. She didn’t want to because it would inconvenience her even though it’s her job. I left and went to the subway on Drew street where they helped me out. And they even gave me a discount for my...
