Let me first start out by saying that Bojangles' in Dunn is a Bojangles' and Bojangles' is an epic fast food chain. This fact alone saves this location from getting 1 star. I'm not a breakfast person, so it takes a really genius restaurant to get me to eat, let alone enjoy, their biscuits. However, by Bojangles' standards it's definitely not that high. This place is dirty, so I wouldn't recommend it for someone who expects the restaurant to have almost a 100 sanitation rating. And don't even think about using (or entering) the men's room. I assure you gentlemen, going in your pants is a better option than having experienced the horrors of that place. The atmosphere of Venus is less toxic to mankind.
Nonetheless, I have been to more unsanitary restaurants, including a Bojangles' in Wilmington that I will never return to in my life, even if it's the last one alive. And this phenomenon of dirty fast food restaurants in Dunn is not unique to the Bojangles'. Dunn is just a town filled with dirty restaurants. For extreme germaphobes traveling I-95, I recommend waiting until you get to Smithfield, or at least Benson, to eat.
The service is also not the best. They are very, VERY slow here, so don't expect to get your food if you come when it's busy. In spite of this, they do clean your table for you, and most of the staff who have cleaned my table are very polite and courteous. Unfortunately, I don't think those are the people in charge of cooking...
I can't talk too much junk about the Bojangles' in Dunn. I eat there frequently with my grandparents, because it's the closest Bojangles', and they are conscious of gas. But if you have the option of driving a little further down I-95, I highly recommend that you wait until you get to the Selma exit. There is a Bojangles' there that I would highly recommend. The Selma location is a REAL Bojangles'. But if you don't want to drive out there, this is the best you...
Read moreThe customer service at this location is terrible. My family and I came through the drive thru and ordered our food. Without us knowing, the person who took our order added additional waters to our order. When we get to the window and are handed extra drinks, we try handing them back and let them know they didn’t belong to us and the woman working behind the young man we handed them to replies “oh well y’all should have told me...” we ignore her comment and tell the young man the correct order. As he’s trying to get the right drinks, the woman comes back up and says “nah I gave them the right drinks.” AS IF WE’RE NOT RIGHT THERE. So I, of course, correct her. And her response is “ma’am I’m talking to him.” LIKE WE HADN’T HEARD HER TELLING HIM WE WERE WRONG THE WHOLE TIME. Let me rewind and say, the issue wasn’t that we got two extra waters, the issue was the other drinks that we were given were also wrong. The young man hands us what we thought were the correct drinks and our food and we drive off. Then I look down at the drinks and THEYRE STILL WRONG. We also didn’t receive a single straw, nor were we given honey mustard. I’m sure it sounds like I’m nitpicking when it comes to the straws and sauce, however, normally I would just carry on with my day. However, when I am trying to explain that our drinks are wrong and am blatantly being told that we have been given the right order and WE ARE WRONG is where I begin to have an issue. Going forward if you plan on insisting that the customer is wrong about something they are 100% right about, please make sure you close the drive thru window or just give them the correct drinks and move on to the car...
Read moreThis is my first visit to this establishment. We went here for a bite to eat on a Sunday morning after celebrating the traditional Latin mass. To summarize, all the food was bland, tasteless, hard, and overcooked.
I ordered the sausage biscuit with gravy and a 4-piece chicken tenders meal to-go while my son ordered a 2-piece chicken meal. He had iced tea and I had water. While they were preparing my chicken tenders to-go, I asked them to replace the visibly over-cooked and partially burnt biscuit with a fresh biscuit, but they did nothing.
For my sausage biscuit and gravy, there was so little gravy that the server was unable to cover them in gravy. As I started eating, I realized the sausage was overcooked as was the biscuit underneath. My son barely touched his fried or chicken and I saw why. The chicken was over-fried and dry. The French Fries were so over-cooked that they were hard. The chicken tasted as if it had no seasoning whatsoever, and the fries hadn't been seasoned, either.
On our 1-hour trip home, I tried the chicken tenders and they, too, were hard, overcooked, and completely lacking in flavor as were the fries that came with the meal.
We are never coming back to this establishment. I actually feel sorry for the folks of Dunn, NC if this their...
