Tried this and realized it’s a big mistake. Ordered pesarattu, thatte idly, onion pakora and omelette. All the main dishes were decent but oily but that’s expected from a restaurant so I am not complaining about that. However, the accompanying chutneys and sambar for these dishes were below average to worst. Of the 3 chutneys only 1 meets the average bar and please, for the love of god, do not try their sambar. Even gujarati establishments serve better sambar than this place which claims be a South Indian restaurant. You order food and pay at the counter first, seat yourself and food will be called out when it’s ready and you have to get it from the counter, and I wish they give token number or mention self-service while we order. The owner seemed to have a pleasant conversation with his friends near the counter and never bothered to check with customers if the food was okay or do they need any refill of the chutneys etc. Nope - the place was not crowded and has 6 folks including us but nevertheless owner is unbothered. Please do yourself a favor, if you want tasty food but okay with an average customer service, drive 5 more miles and treat yourself at Bawarchi sandy springs and thank me later! Bawarchi is not known for their customer service but their food is top notch, whereas this place does not care about providing the customers with either of those. Edited to add after response from owner: Checking with customer about food’s taste and asking if they need refills are general good practice. It was missing during my visit. 2. When a restaurant is South Indian, customers expect sambar to be of decent quality and taste. Yours unfortunately was neither Tamil nor karnataka style, the 2 popular versions and not even kerela or Andhra style, at best it can be described as a tamarind based overly sour gravy. 3. I might have missed the self service part mentioned so that could be an oversight on my part. 4. Lastly, I would not be writing this review, if you, as a business owner, had checked with me on how the food was and I would have provided my...
Read moreThe food was absolutely excellent, no complaints there every dish we finally received was delicious and worth appreciating. However, the service was extremely disappointing and completely overshadowed the quality of the food.
We waited around 25 minutes just to place our order, and another 30 minutes for the food to arrive. Even then, one item was missing and took an additional 20 minutes to be served. What made it worse was the lack of proper communication or response from the management.
The person taking the orders seemed poorly trained and very confused, struggling to take complete orders and unaware of what was actually available in the kitchen. Several other customers were visibly frustrated as well.
I strongly urge the management to train their staff better and ensure customers are informed about unavailable items and realistic wait times. The food deserves praise but the service seriously needs improvement...
Read moreTried their Panipuri. It was savory & flavorful. It had been a while i had any Indian food so as a first timer I was excited and they didn’t disappoint. I also tried their Butter chicken which was so good I forgot to take a good picture. The mango lassi and parotta was amazing. I like how they give sliced onions with each dish. The atmosphere was calm but I know soon it will be crowded but for me they are like a hidden gem. I am not sure if they serve halal food I forgot to ask. The guy at the front was super friendly and eager to tell us about the restaurant and food which genuinely made me feel special & gives a good sense of professionalism. Keep it up and...
