I had the most unpleasant experience. I have been a loyal customer for over 3 years ordering once every two weeks. I could forgive an occasional small delay or cold food. If you order on Monday or Tuesday, expect the service to be slow and the food quality to be lower. I cannot really explain it, but it seems like the better quality is used up Friday - Sunday and the leftovers with lesser quality are for the poor saps who order early in the week.
What I found intolerable in my most recent experience was the attitude from the lady who answered the phone for delivery. She was rude, quick, and didn't even want me to order my delivery special. Then, she made a point to tell me how much of a schmuck I was for not telling her that first when she did not give me a chance (remember that I have been ordering from these guys for over 3 years). The topper was when this lady decided to put my order at the bottom of the heap. We ordered our food at 8:05pm and they delivered at 9:55pm. That was almost two hours later! My little girl almost missed her dinner because she needed to go to sleep since she had school the next day. I found this attitude of the lady to be spiteful and mean-spirited.
I called back that night and they put me to voicemail. I called back to let the manager know, and they said the manager was busy. I left them a detail message of my poor experience. I wanted lucky china to know what happened and how displeased I was.
They have lost this customer forever. I will never order from them again. If anyone asks, I will tell the truth about my opinion of this restaurant. The food which is mediocre is not worth poor service and...
Read moreIf there was a lower rating than 1 star, Lucky China would score less than 1 star! Take out order of vegetable rice was cold and very sticky as if it had been sitting or the last bit to serve. It also lack seasoning and was bland. When speaking to Delia it was quite clear that she didn’t care. This next bit is laughable but not; another employee (male) called back along with Delia and accused me of complaining about him before! First, he misidentified me and tells me that I complained about him before. Second, how asinine is that to let me know that their reputation is bad and customers are complaining!!! As I said to Delia, I was not looking for a handout but since the conversation became a ‘ whatever’ attitude, I felt compelled to write an unfavorable review! I don’t frequent this place. Since the place changed the management group and acquired new staff/new management, I ordered vegetable rice there maybe four times over three years, if that. The service and food were much better during the time when the place was managed by a different group. Now Lucky China is non-existent for me and my contacts. I see why the review ratings are low. Not only was this not a good food experience, Lucky China has terrible customer...
Read moreI was over by this way and popped in for takeout. I saw the usual “Lucky China” franchise looking sign and assumed this was as the others. Surprisingly, the decor is styled like a “sit down for a date” restaurant. However, that is where the quality rests. I arrived within their dinner time hours and there wasn’t a single customer inside. That should’ve been my first clue. The selections on the menu were in fact the typical “cheap takeout” menu choices. However, it was printed out on a classic restaurant style menu. Instead of the typical takeout pamphlet. The prices were highway robbery! Being double what they’d generally be for takeout. I ordered broccoli and shrimp with rice. That came out to nearly $25 mind you. The guy at the entry station assured me the portions were worth the price. As you can see in the pictures the portions are not worth the price. The nail in the coffin? Both my broccoli and shrimp were overcooked. The shrimp were so overcooked they were rubbery (as seen in the pictures). Even the little fortune cookie was stale. The sauce and rice were the only things that made it edible. I definitely would not recommend eating here. The food is just not...
