I wasn't gonna leave a review. Thought this should be said . . Just want to give a shout out to my sorry, problematic server Billie. Let me start by stating, waffle house had a full staff. When I came into waffle house, no one greeted me. They appeared to have an issue with another customer order. So I brushed it off. I waited about 15mins to be served by Billie. Before she served me, She was clearly causing problems with the other staff. Being rude and disrespectful but she was messing up on her end and taking it out on them. After I gave her my order, I watched her call out the wrong order 5 times !! . She pretended as if she understood the first time I corrected her. But she didn't. I kept trying to tell her. Stop. Listen to what I am saying. Idk what this lady problem were. So, about 30 mins or so pass. Another server asked me what I was waiting for because nothing was on the grill. I told her my food. So Billie, literally has my food sitting in to go. Without my knowledge. Getting cold. Meanwhile, she's making smart comments to the staff. Being super disrespectful. I really have to applaud the other staff for not engaging in her immature behavior. I really wanted to tip everyone else in the waffle house but felt since she was already causing so many problems that would add more fuel to the fire. With that being said. Read morePosted hours are 24hr and there was adequate staff inside, most of which was standing around from what I saw, however they were turning away people saying that they are "closed".
I was there for roughly 5-10 min, from the time pulling in to the time I left, and saw 7 different groups turned away or outside presumably waiting.
I guess the benefit is, unlike another location I have experienced, they were turning away everyone instead of just me but if you're "open" you should be open.
I believe that a business can run how they would like but if your hours are 24/7, you should be open for such. If you don't want to be a 24hr business, simply change your hours of operation.
I'm a "night owl" some days and at times skip dinner so I'm quite hungry and it's aggravating to drive all around town looking for a location that decides to actually stay open. You can't even call them before going as they literally never answer the phone but, to add to the frustration, their automated message says that they are open!
This post isn't really fair to some of the amazing people that work there, and at other locations, that provide good service and really work hard but this issue has been with multiple locations, multiple times. I've only commented on two stores but it has happened at a handful of stores and the ones commented on at least 3 times...
Read moreMy son requested Waffle House as son as he saw it once we got off the exit. It was a long day, around 8, and late for us to be eating dinner, so I just said okay.... Luckily the food was good but the customer service was below average. There were only 2 people working when we came. But luckily when we arrived there was only one other table there. By the time we finished ordering, two other tables had come in and I asked if the lady truly was working alone. She said someone else was on the way. So, with one cook and one waitress, she went to work. But soon, I noticed that both the tables that came in after me and my party where eating and our table only had drinks and parts of our order. There were 4 of us and one person only had their drink. I asked for and update and the lady just said that she was on it. She did a little too much "baby" and "sugar". She wasn't affectionate with it, cuz we do that in the south, it was more condescending than anything. She didn't offer any refills or remove the players that where empty already. I went back a coupe days later, earlier in the day and there looked to be a full staff. I got my food to go tho which was much easier...
