Today I arrived to the Kruger store near my house to shop and return three products.
A pack of broken cucumbers A pack of broken kosher meat that I bought at another location. A pair of socks that should contain 6 pairs but actually contained 3.5 pairs.
I went to the customer service desk and ran into a worker named Edena. I got the most racist service I've ever encountered in America! All because I am Jewish!!
When I first introduced the kosher meat, she sent it to me and said that I should replace it at the store that I had bought. As for the cucumbers she did not really have an excuse. Then we got to the socks.
She must have thought I did not know English or that she really did not know English.
Six pairs are written on the package. This means that there should be 12 units inside. She claims 6 pairs is 6 single socks. Edena argued with me for so long and I tried to explain to her that the word pair mean two! She summed it up with the sentence: "I do not care what you say!"
I told her it was very serious that she did not care what I was saying! Then she just refused to go on treating me !!! Here I was very angry and asked to speak to the store manager. The manager of course did not arrive, but instead came a employee named Mary who listened patiently and realized that I had purchased a product that was simply stolen. She asked me to bring another package and even said that I could get both packages even though I refused. She claimed they had nothing to do with half a product. Edna immediately went to her and whispered something. Mary canceled the gesture she wanted to do for me. And I went out with a whole new package as I bought it.In any case she gave me credit for both the cucumbers and the meat, which I thought I should get to the location where it was bought! Apart from not going into this store again because of Edena, I intend to take all the measures at my disposal regarding the subject !! There is no place for racism in America in 2019 !! And there is no place for rude service in a big company...
Read moreAt the Krogers in Dunwoody and the watermelons are on sale $3.99 each. Get to the cashier with my Kroger card and they rung up $6.99 each, I got 2. I asked the cashier why didn't they ring up as $3.99 as advertised (sign right in front of the box of melons)...she said I had to use the Kroger app on my phone to get that price (but the sign did not say digital). I told her I don't understand especially since my phone was in the car. She explained that Kroger wants you use the app on some discounts instead of the cashier's always adjusting the prices. I am out done at this new policy. Most of the time I don't use my phone at all in the store - not even to talk bc I am in and out. Now you want me to do the cashier's job by adjusting the discounts on my phone? If I can't get all the discounts advertised, I might as well shop at the competitor bc what good is my Kroger card now without a phone take advantage of the discounts? I betcha the Kroger brands don't require you use the app to get the discount/sale. 🤔
Update: I have had a chance to cool down and go out on the app to see if the watermelons were on sale and they were "digital". The sale sign doesn't specify digital. I don't mind using "digital" bc I have in the past. It's the point that the sale sign did not say it so I loaded 2 melons into the cart for nothing. I changed my rating from 3 to 4 star bc of their mistake.
Another update (5/15/25): Kroger was in the news (CBS) for overcharging on sale items. The sale item is advertised one price and rings up at the cash register a higher price. I believe that digital app is a bunch of bull crap. It's to get you to put the sale item in your cart, knowing that having a Kroger card won't give you the sales discount. The sale item rings up at a higher price. Cashier's tell you you need the app to get that price(?). Y'all take it out of your cart if you can't the sale, it's probably about to expire anyways. Customers check your receipts before you leave the store (any store not...
Read moreThe pharmacy is horrible. I had to switch pharmacies since they don't refill my prescriptions that are on auto refill until I have to call them about it, but I can rarely get ahold of them over the phone to get any medications refilled or speak to somebody about a question or issue. I can't tell you how many times I've ended up not having my medication for days at a time, monthly, due to running out (even though I start trying to refill at least 1 week in advance) because they will not auto refill my medications, or even answer their phone at all, despite multiple calls to their pharmacy during the week. My new pharmacy has called 6-7 times in one day to attempt to get the remainder of my prescriptions transfered to the new pharmacy, but even they cannot get ahold of Kroger's pharmacy to transfer them out. I had to call the Kroger manager this month to get her to walk over to the pharmacy to see if the phone was even working to be able to talk to a pharmacist and even after explaining everything, they told me that my new pharmacy has to call them, despite, their repeated attempts throughout the day and obvious issues getting ahold of them. She also said that she'd seen their calls pop up onto caller ID a few times that day, but I guess she wasn't bothered to call the pharmacy back since my issue is still not resolved and once again, I'm stuck without my medication due to things I cannot control and endless issues with this Kroger Pharmacy. On top of that, their refill option on the app doesn't work and your meds will never be filled if you try using the app instead. It's infuriating and unprofessional (not to mention negligent, since so many people need medications for important health issues, plus, withdraw effects from sudden stoppong of medications like I've had to do for several months now can be very dangerous), and I will no longer be using them as my pharmacy. I cannot keep missing medication like I've been forced to to the last...
