A meal can have all the right ingredients, be served at the right temperature, be exactly what you ordered, and it can still be missing... something. That's where Maria Auxiliadora and Luis of Bucatini come in. As the face of Bucatini, they and their team not only get all-of-the-above right, their attention to providing a quality culinary experience is admirably consistent. Having tasted several times their excellent work in Moderato, their previous establishment in Miami, Florida, I see and taste an evolution that Atlanta is extremely fortunate to have as part of its cultural landscape. A dear friend and I came about a month ago for the first time. Then, we had the focaccia siciliana, bruschetta e salumi, and Bucatini pasta. Not only was it all plentiful, it was exquisite. The food was fresh, wonderfully textured, the cured selection wonderfully picked, and somehow, you could even taste their love for the craft in the pasta. Today, I have come back for the second time and I had the pesto gnocchi. The gnocchi was a sublime experience I expect to only truly perhaps exceed in Italy. The texture was just right, the combination of the flavors was compelling, and what impressed me the most is the consistency in quality across different dishes when I look back to how long I've known them. I look forward to coming back not just warmly greet and talk with Maria Auxiliadora and Luis, but also to see where Bucatini Ristorante will transport me...
Read moreSuper stellar pizza. I looked it up and saw that it was quite authentic and I was proven correct in my research. The staff took a moment to serve me, but they were incredibly friendly once they did. I could tell everything was made by hand and incredible quality. The pizza did not take too long, so that was excellent. I opted for the prosciutto one because I’m an absolute sucker for prosciutto on pizza. They did not skimp on any ingredients and it was so delicious. It ended up being two meals and paired so nicely with a glass of wine. I also got their tiramisu and I’m not sure if it was homemade but it cost like it was and it tasted like it was too. So I’m telling myself it was. Overall, very authentic very delicious food and I would 100%...
Read moreFirst time at Politan Row and at Bucatini. We had fettucini alfredo with shrimp and bucatini. Both were superb!! Portions were large and food tasted incredible. Like the upscale food hall concept because we dont have to make reservations, can come casual, no waiters/waitresses to deal with, no 25%+ pressure to tip, no long wait time for food, no wait to bring check and pay, etc. Upscale, high quality Italian food that's actually worth the cost, which is rare. Tables and place were clean, floors swept and not sticky and dirty, plenty of space to spread out and enjoy your meal. Parking not a problem. They even have a nice bar if you want alcoholic beverages. Our new go-to spot for authentic Italian pasta. Don't even hesitate, just go....
