***Update*** So I'm back once again treating my self to a "stay-cation". As mentioned before, this is a GREAT location. The good news...my bathroom has a door this time!! Lol However, the bathroom wasn't properly cleaned. There was some sort of black something on the counter (see pic). I barely wiped it and it smudged - which tells me no one attempted to clean it. Also, the soap was in an opened package. 🤦🏾‍♀️ Of course this makes me question if anything was properly cleaned. I think I'll select a new spot for future staycations. This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. Walking distance to multiple stores and restaurants. I would've given it 5 stars if not for the missing bathroom door. My husband and I checked in late last night for our anniversary. Got there in time to go to the rooftop bar - which is really nice. When we got to the room after a long day, my husband went to use the restroom and noticed the door was missing. I thought he was joking. But there was no door. Lol Upon calling the front desk, the agent advised he thought the door had been replaced and apologized. This, however, was the last corner room (I specifically booked this room as it was our anniversary). It was a little inconvenient as we used the lobby restroom (because who wants to "go" in a bathroom with no door? Lol) Long story short, the staff was very friendly and advised on what they would do for the inconvenience. (I will update if that doesn't happen). Other than that, the stay was great, awesome customer service, and we will definitely select this location again.

First I would like to thanks Ms.GWEN the GM at this location that’s a phenomenal woman! Very resourceful and a team player I was checking in she was there I was checking out she was there the lady is definitely a pleasure. This hotel was nice, clean and quiet, they have a roof top bar which opens at 5pm and closes at 12am there’s not a lot of rooms on one floor and I enjoyed that as well. When I went it was raining so we had to park in the parking garage but that wasn’t too bad of a walk, and I seen security patrol the garage with my own eyes. The hotel is surrounded by a lot of shops and food target is walking distance and a lot more. They do sell breakfast in the morning and they do have Starbucks commentary coffee but breakfast do cost after all you will definitely enjoy your stay at this location thanks for making it a pleasure. Not the best photos just a glimpse I thought the lights would be on upon arrival but they was off and that fine lol

We were celebrating a friend’s surprise birthday party in the ballroom, so very upscale event. The entrance, lobby, ballroom, gym and even terrace of the hotel were all beautiful welcoming and full of opulence. The room however was a let down. The views from our room were great! However, there was a huge spot over the closet of the room that appeared to be mold or dust build up. Whichever it was, it was unsettling and noticeable. The couch that was in the room I didn’t want to sit on, he looked as if the cushions and covers needed a good wash and fluff. Other than this the breakfast was decent and we were able to get late check out.

The positive great location. Negative the first room, room 435, was horrible. The design is called the European model. What that means is that your sink is in the bedroom. So when you use the restroom you cannot wash your hands until you open the sliding door and come back into the bedroom where the sink is located. The bed was a step up from sleeping on the floor, hard as a rock. Add to that the pillows are as soft as a marshmallow so don't expect any back support to sit up and watch TV. The views from the rooftop bar are wonderful. The drinks are not. I tried a margarita first and it tasted like watered down Kool aid. I then tried cranberry and vodka which was very similar. I had to ask that the glass be reduced from ice that filled 3/4 of the glass. There were two women at the front desk, I'm sorry I don't remember their names who were both very pleasant. The opposite of that was the Assistant Manager Travis. He is totally lacking in the professionalism and basic manners that I have come to expect at Marriott properties. It's because of the interaction with him that I gave 2 stars for Service. If not for the pleasant two women front desk team members I would have given 1 star. When I explained all of the issues that were in room 435 the female front desk person, apologized, and said changing rooms would be no problem and she would leave a note. When I returned I encountered Travis, once again explained the situation, he said no note was left, and he said I could change but for a higher charge. It took several minutes of unnecessary back and forth conversation before he finally agreed to the room change, at no charge. The hotel was not full so why he was being so difficult I have no idea. I apologize for the length of this review but I wanted to be thorough. I'm disappointed that it was so bad because I had been looking forward to this staycation at this property. I think I'll stick with full Marriott's, Renaissance or maybe the Ritz going forward, but no more AC. For the record I was in Europe last year at a Marriott and the sink was in...

I have never been so disrespected at a hotel establishment in my life. I stay at hotels in this area all the time. Most hotels checkout on Saturday is 12pm. At 10:15am I called to see if I could get a late checkout for 1pm (like I’ve done plenty of times at other hotels in the area). No one answered. I called 3 more times between 10:15 and 10:45 no one answered. At 11:30am when housekeeping knocked on the door that is when I found out that checkout was really 11am. I called the front desk again to see if I could at least have until 12:30 since I didn’t know checkout was at 11 AND I called several times and no one answered. The front desk clerk was absolutely rude to me. I was calmly explaining what happened and immediately she says “Well we are going to charge you for another night”. I calmly explained the situation again and asked if I could get just a few more minutes so I can get dressed. At that point she insisted that I didn’t call earlier and she will charge me if I’m not out by 12. She then hung up the phone on me. I walked to the front desk, I asked for the manager. She said there was not a manager on the property. I asked her why did she hang up on me I was not being rude or nasty. Her response— Ma’am you were yelling at me like you are now. (Mind you I was NOT yelling at her. I literally was talking to her calm so the situation did not escalate). At that point I saw that I could not reason with her so I asked for the manager’s number. I proceeded to tel her that I had never been disrespected like this at a hotel establishment. She was saying some more rude stuff as she handed me the card. I snatched the card from her and walked off. SHE THEN CALLED THE POLICE! I am not making this up. She literally told the police operator, “I need the police because this guest snatched the business card from me”. WHAT THE HECK!!! The police arrived and witnessed a calm guest because I was not irate like she tried to describe me. This is the craziest thing I’ve experienced and I will NEVER give Marriott another dime...

The stay was good overall. This is a nice modern hotel. It is very clean and well built. The rooftop bar was a highlight. I just wish it stayed open a little later. I was able to enjoy some time up there, and the ambiance was really nice.||The lobby area is also very clean and inviting, with Starbucks coffee available. I visited the gym but didn’t use it. It definitely looked like a place where you could get a solid workout.||Upon checkout, I had an issue with housekeeping, but the manager is working on resolving it and making it right, so I won’t go into detail. The front desk staff were polite and professional throughout my stay. I felt safe and secure at the hotel and didn’t run into many problems.||The only real issue I had was with the window curtain. The heavier curtain was broken and wouldn’t fully close, so there was a slight gap. Since I was on the sixth floor, I didn’t report it to the front desk. I’m also not a fan of the bathroom’s motion sensor lights. They were very sensitive and kept turning on and off.||I stayed in the Metro King room, which has the sink area separate from the bathroom with the shower and toilet. Personally, I would have preferred it all together, but since I was traveling alone, it wasn’t a big deal. If you're staying with a significant other, it might be more convenient to have everything in one space. The Metro room seems best suited for one person, though two could manage just fine.||There were a few cosmetic issues including scratches on the floor and light spots on the chair. The air conditioner was also a bit loud. Overall I would stay again, but I will probably stay in the regular king versus the...
