I first met Jamie, the owner of Jewelry Artisans, 7 years ago. I lived near the store and wandered in there one day. Jamie was so friendly and introduced himself. The store is beautiful with many wonderful temptations! I found a pretty little white gold topaz ring and was happy with my purchase. Shortly after that purchase, I found a beautiful sapphire bracelet that I loved. I purchased it; a week later I was unexpectedly laid off from my job. I went back into the store with the bracelet, and was very upset about losing my job. I asked if they would allow me to return it in light of the circumstances and they said yes, which was very kind of them. I would not forget their kindness to me. In 2012, I was shopping in Nordstrom and spotted a beautiful pair of .75tw diamond solitaire earrings on sale for a crazy low price. I purchased them and immediately took them to Jamie to ask if they were worth what I had paid for them. He took the time to look them over, and even asked his appraiser to do so. He assured me that I had found an amazing deal and that I was very fortunate! What a blessing to have him care about my purchase from another store! Fast forward to present. I had moved away from Dunwoody, so had not been to Jewelry Artisans in quite a while. I recently moved back to the area and dropped in last Friday and asked for Jamie. He recognized me and gave me a “welcome back to the hood hug”. I told him that I was hoping to upgrade my solitaire earrings to a larger size. The Nordstrom Anniversary sale was right around the corner and they had been calling me with options for my earrings. Jamie asked his manager, Terry, to help me explore my options there at Jewelry Artisans. With Terry’s excellent diamond knowledge, he showed me several pairs of earrings and explained the differences in them. I knew when I saw the 1.21tw earrings on my ears that I had found what I wanted! I had wanted a little larger than 1 carat tw, but had thought I couldn’t afford such an upgrade. Jamie and Terry made it happen for me and I am so thrilled with my sparkly earrings. Of course, the color and clarity are good since Jamie does not have any item in his store that is not of the highest quality. Always check out Jewelry Artisans before making a choice somewhere else! I am so glad that I did. You...
Read moreI really wish I could give Jewelry Artisans 5 stars. Around the beginning of September, my boyfriend and I committed to begin our journey in selecting an engagement ring and wedding bands. We decided to start with Jewelry Artisans after researching many other locations.
Their selections of stones and jewelry are beautiful and the employees are wonderful. Our situation is a little unique, and while every bump in the road was legitimate and understandable, we still could not help but feel a sense of neglect.
The first employee we worked with was amazing and so sweet! But she was due to deliver a baby very soon, so we were passed over to Jamie, the owner. In between there were some delays due to logistics and hurricane season in ordering some stones for us to look at. Totally understandable and reasonable.
Then, somewhere along the way, we discovered we were passed along to a third employee (and we only found out by proactively calling the place) and we understand being an owner of a great business requires a lot of time and effort. We were very happy to work with the last employee assigned to work with us in hopes that this was it and we’d get things moving along.
Because it was our first time meeting her, we pretty much had to start the entire process over, and I was totally okay with that-we were able to further explore designs and styles and pinpoint my preferences. She was wonderful and we really enjoyed our first meeting with her. It was decided that a second round of stones would be ordered for me to look at as I was still undecided between two styles of cuts.
It has been almost four weeks since our last physical appointment at the store and have not heard back or received any updates. Overall, we’ve visited the store multiple times between the beginning of September and the beginning of October. My boyfriend sent an email last week and has not received a response. We aren’t really sure what’s going on or what to do at this point, and we cannot help but feel discouraged and unhappy about the overall lack of communication. After a couple of discussions, we’ve made the decision to move on, and look somewhere else. We do think Jewelry Artisans is a great establishment with great employees and great selections. We just hope no one after us goes through an experience...
Read moreDo yourself and your significant other a favor and go to Jewelry Artisans for all your jewelry needs. From the moment I walked into the door I was greeted and treated like family. I was fortunate enough to work directly with the owner (Jamie), which was unlike any other jewelry store I went to. The rest of the staff was amazing and very helpful…but Jamie went the extra mile for me and made this stressful process one I looked forward to and enjoyed! Prior to coming to Jewelry Artisans, I window-shopped at all the big jewelry stores and some local stores in the Atlanta area (Shane co, Jared, Zales, Helzberg, the mart, Kay jewelers and many more…). Not only did I spend hours window-shopping, I spent DAYS online searching the Internet looking at different rings, pricing, reliability, and authenticity and sifting through reviews. When I would go into a physical location, I would check for consistency by asking different employees and the managers the same questions…yet received different answers. Jamie and his team at Jewelry Artisans are ALL on the same page and go above and beyond for their customers. I knew very quickly I had found a jewelry store that I could trust and RELY ON FOR LIFE. By now you may be thinking that I overpaid and am overjoyed by an emotional buy, this is not the case. What’s better than a phenomenal product at a competitive price? You can ONLY experience this at Jewelry Artisans.
Not only was my buying experience informative and enlightening, my fiancé loved what I picked out. Since our engagement, many others have complimented numerous times on how unique and personal the ring is to her personality. The ring is a definite showstopper without being a bank breaker. And for the record if you have thoughts that you can't afford this place, trust me as a 26-year-old male, who is in college and working part-time, I was able to find a high quality ring within my budget. I know most people my age want to use the internet for shop, but here your getting a personal experience, reliability, authenticity, and a great price. Don't shop...
