Moondog Growlers — Restaurant in Dunwoody

I am self admittedly biased as Moondog has become my local watering hole but that does not take away from how great this local beer bar has become. Dunwoody is somewhat at the beginning of a restructuring based around new zoning which excitedly will see the village area grow into a consumer friendly hotspot similar, albeit more established than Roswell or Alpharetta. Moondog is at the forefront and serves perfectly as a perch to discuss and watch this change happen around it. The bar has a hefty supply of hard to get beers that can be enjoyed in, outside or at home in the form of a growler. Also, with many restaurants close by it is super easy to order delivery once the beer induced hunger pangs begin. Bars where everyone gets to know one another have become few and far between but when beer and dogs unite only good conversation can follow. This is one of the great aspects that makes Moondog stand out is their friendly policy to allow dogs inside. As an owner of a heat intolerant French bulldog this sure comes in handy to have my other drinking buddy pleasantly sheltered in the AC and away from harsh Georgia summers. We had an exceptional experience with Sean from Moondog Growlers at our recent Bar Mitzvah. Sean provided outstanding customer service, going above and beyond to ensure that both we and our guests were well taken care of. He took the time to educate us about the various types of beer available, which added an engaging and informative touch to the event.

Having a beer truck at a bar mitzvah is quite unique, and it turned out to be a fantastic decision. The guests were thrilled and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Sean seamlessly coordinated with the pizza truck vendor, contributing to the smooth flow of the event.

Quaint little place for some delectable beers on tap! There is plenty and more to choose from out here. There is plenty of parking right in front of the place. It is bit chilly out there - as such we sat inside. But it would have been awesome sitting on the lawns where they have set up few park benches! The music played was good. There was another group of people other than us! I am sure as we progressed with few more people in - this place must be rocking (it was Friday early evening when we went there).
