Well, I'll start off by saying, I did not like the food I ordered and neither did the person I was eating with. I ordered the fish tacos which came with the stalest steak fries I've ever seen. After trying a couple of them, I knew I had to kindly let my waitress know and when I did, she agreed that they were old(under the lamp for too long) fries and she took them back to the kitchen and later came out with fresh ones. My fish in the tacos was cod. I guess I was expecting more flavor and I just wasn't getting that flavor I was hoping for. I think it was the fact that the pico de gallo was a bit watery..lacking lime flavor. My friend ordered the shepherd's pie and I noticed that the cheese on top was over cooked and hard..also, the portion was small. Immediately, we wished we had ordered the cheese steak or something like that which would have been hard to mess up. I did love the atmosphere of this pub. There were a few tables which had fire pits in the middle. That was very nice to see on such a fall night. The live acoustic music coming from the patio of another restaurant was very nice too. I'm actually giving all three of the stars I rated this place with to the atmosphere. Our waitress was new, and seemed to be very busy and I couldn't help but notice the "help wanted" sign on the window near the restaurant's entrance. Nonetheless, though our waitress wasn't totally knowledgeable about the menu, she was happy to help and answered questions to the best if her ability. All in all, I think I would go back to give this restaurant another try because the menu options were great..and I'd love to sit at a table with the fire pit..and I'm definitely ordering the cheese steak. lol

It's a nice typical Tavern. Got a couple of pay per game pool tables, darts and some video games. The indoor seating is pretty spacious which can hold upto 50-70 people I guess. It has decent outdoor seating with firepits. Bartenders were nice and prompt mixing good cocktails when I was there. They have live music on Friday evenings. Good place to hangout.

Went for the first time last week and it was one of the best bar/pub/sports bar experiences I’ve had in Atlanta. When in dunwoody there will be no other place i go. The food great, beer crisp and service impeccable. Comfortable and cozy space with TVs everywhere

I will not come back to Dunwoody Tavern. We had a strange and uncomfortable encounter with the manager at absolutely no fault of our own.

Meeting with colleagues to celebrate a recent special occasion, myself and one other colleague were the first to arrive. We sat down and a waitress took our order for drinks. The drinks arrived and everything was fine - until the manager came over.

A guy in pink pants walked over and stared at us very strangely. He never introduced himself by name or role. He looked at us and asked "Did you walk in with those?" (meaning our drinks). I replied "Of course not - the waitress just brought them." He continued to look puzzled and just walked away. When our waitress returned, we pointed to the man and asked who he was. She said he was the manager. We shared our story and disappointment in how he handled it.

This manager chose not to say "Hi, my name is _ and I'm the manager". No "I'm sorry to interrupt". No "I'm sorry for my misunderstanding". Just a bizarre encounter and then walked away. We were dumbfounded.

If the manager was unsure how we got our drinks, he should have asked his staff before accusing us of walking into the restaurant with an outside glass of wine and a...

Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name :) I remember when the Tavern 1st opened in the 90s (Fun fact! It originally named ‘Croakies’ logo? A cartoon frog on a clothesline-still have a croakies tshirt!) Very appropriately re-named Dunwoody Tavern not too long after; I remember G.Michael (former owner & my Dads best good mate- they’d go up there at nights & on weekends until the bar was built in exchange for beer, same bar that we all sit at today (apart from the “U” shape expansion for more seating😉) Fun times were had working as a cocktail waitress & my favorite night? Shaquille O’Neal making an appearance & started playing quarters with our giant bottles of champagne (Miami Heat played the Hawks & he was celebrating…we had to shut the bar down when the 7 foot bball player appeared behind the bar serving customers 😳😂 Love the pics! Need to visit my old hang now I’m back in ATL. Looking good Dunwoody Tavern. We knew this bar was here to stay for generations to come. Cheers! See you at the Tavern. I can’t go there without my girl Meaghan...
