Oh yeah baby, you like pizza, you better not miss this place. I'm only 78 years old but I still like pizza and I've had a lot of it in my life and this is right up there in a very high I'd say 98% tile good
It was an early afternoon and the service was a little slack I think but nobody approached us and ask us if we'd like to have a beer even though the bartender was sitting here looking at us. So it's okay you know no big deal at least they had beer lol They had a very large selection of tap beer unfortunately they didn't have any that I like but I like ales and stuff and most people these days are drinking lighter fruity stuff so that's okay. The atmosphere was good The people were friendly the people that work there were very friendly The people that were eating early lunch or friendly it was bright and sun was shining in I definitely liked the atmosphere. There were other places inside of the building where you could go that was more shall we say elusive if you wanted to be that way. But we were sitting in the area where we could enjoy the outside but we were inside. Very nice arrangement you'll enjoy it. I was with My brother big Mike brother from another mother. I have no idea how much we spent per person, it didn't matter. He was taking me to the hospital for some surgery treatments. So is an opportunity for us to build and share our love for each other. He took a couple of pictures I took none. How was the noise well it was early afternoon on a Thursday, so it was quiet. By the time we left people were coming in who are getting off of work early the volume went up a little bit but it was nothing to be concerned about. I would think though like on a Friday night or Saturday night it might be a little loud in there. And that's not my preferred atmosphere but that's not what we shared that day either.
Bottom line, if you like pizza and hanging out for a little bit with your friends or meeting new company and new friends and an open atmosphere, or even a darker atmosphere Go to this place You won't be sorry.
Except for one thing parking parking is called Hutch's garage that you'll building used to be a garage a car garage where they service cars fixed cars so vision the building with a parking lot out in front that holds four or five cars and they have signs that says parking for takeout service only I never saw it but there must be a sign out in there that somewhere that says parking out in the back, if you're not familiar with the locality Good luck finding a...
Read moreOverall Rating: 5.4/10 The food and experience were good enough but didn't wow me. It was alright, not something I'd rave about.
Atmosphere / Service: 8.2/10 The restaurant's distinctive setting is engaging from the moment you see the building and continues as you sit down and take in your surroundings. Initially unclear on the self-service format, a staff member helpfully called out instructions for self-seating and using the QR code for menu and ordering. The process was unexpectedly smooth, despite a typical preference for in-person ordering. The limited menu options were a minor drawback.
Food:
Margherita Pizza: 5.1/10 The pizza, expected to be a standout given the sparse menu, was just adequate. It arrived quicker than anticipated, hinting at a possibly hastened baking process. The main detractor was the amount of grease, which was excessive, though the base was nicely crispy, and the cheese seemed to be good quality.
Bean Dip / Chips: 5.9/10 This appetizer was a pleasant surprise, providing a tasty complement to the pizza. The chips were seasoned with a unique blend that was initially enjoyable but became too strong after several bites.
3 Pokegyms and 1 Pokestop which gave the place a nice added value for Pokemon Go users.
Value: 5.8 / 10 Considering the overall experience, the value seems appropriate, and there's some interest in giving the pizza another try in the future to see if the experience gives a...
Read moreI will admit I was not thrilled when I heard Durham was getting yet another pizza joint but I ended up here with a group of friends this past Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed myself. To start the décor is totally Durham, typical vintage items you would find in your own garage displayed on the walls. A handful of TV's to watch a variety of sporting events while you dine. Plenty of space inside and out to get together with a group and family friendly. You order at the bar, which is my preferred style of service to allow time to linger with friends. They offer a well-curated wine list at reasonable prices, which is rare in these parts. Sparking Rose at $8 a glass, yes please! Two types of crust, thin and thicker. Thin is very NY style and thicker is reminiscent of old school Pizza Hut pan pizza, when it was good (think late 80's with the red plastic cups). We tried several kinds of pies and all of them were unpretentious and delicious with fresh ingredients. You could share a pie with someone and add a salad for a lighter dinner or go all out and order a pie each with leftovers for later. Prices are reasonable for the size and quality of ingredients given. If you do not love Pizzeria Toro's burnt crust and crapped seating and want something a bit more upscale than Pompieri Pizza I highly recommend checking...
