I really don’t want to write this review!! I wish I was selfish enough to keep Jill a secret, but we must shout about her from the rooftops!! My mom is an extremely perfectionistic seamstress with over 60 years of fine dressmaking level skill. I took a very expensive technical winter workout skirt of my mom’s—complete with zippers, quilted slippery fabric, elastic, etc— to Jill to size it down for my mom. I wanted it to be a surprise gift to congratulate my mom on her weight loss. So I only gave Jill my mom’s measurements (no fitting). My mom could not figure out where and how Jill had altered the skirt. We are confident she is a wizard.

In a few short months I’ve piled the tailoring projects in Jill and am simply in love. I will never go to another tailor again.

Jill is also an incredibly talented upholsterer. She took an $80 thrift store find (a Rowe sofa) and transformed it into an amazing brand new feeling piece for an even more amazing price. You will not find more competitive pricing on your upholstery projects, I promise!

Jill has saved the day more than once for our family. Chester is our Corgi who uses a wheelchair. More than occasionally he chews his special harness that holds him securely in his wheelchair, and it’s a special order harness from a veterinary rehab hospital, so not easily or quickly replaced. Each time he chews it in two pieces, I rush the harness and the dog to Jill so she can fit it to him and ensure it’s being sewn in the right place and will be secure for him. She’s always good natured and sews it quickly with precision, despite clearly having a busy shop with lots of unexpected walk-ins.

She’s also altered some blouses for me— quality work for a fair price. I highly recommend her...

I met Jill serendipitously through a Facebook Marketplace deal and I’m so glad I did - I sell vintage clothing so I always have small alterations that need to be done. Additionally, I had been holding onto a bag of personal items of mine that needed small alterations (hem had fallen out, tear under the arm, etc.). Jill not only tackled all of those things for me but even upholstered a chair of mine when the seat was irreparably stained! The quality of her work is fantastic, she charges very reasonable prices, and she’s so pleasant to work with. I will continue to bring my things to The Rheu Co. as long as...
