The Saturday farmers market spillover crowd at Liturgy Beverage Company offers a snapshot of contemporary coffee culture in miniature. A student hunches over a laptop adorned with pastel stickers, while young professionals cluster around the sleek wooden bar, their conversations mixing with the rhythmic whir of grinders.
The space itself, all copper pendant lights and floating wooden shelves, could have slipped into precious territory, but manages to avoid it through genuine warmth and function. The yuppified counter staff, clad in natural fibers and denim, move with practiced efficiency, turning out meticulously crafted matcha lattes bearing pristine white hearts across their surfaces.
Behind glass, pastries from Little Barb's beckon: bourbon maple cakes and raspberry honey grain confections that speak to considered sourcing relationships. But it's the beverages that command attention, with baristas treating each pour with near-ceremonial focus.
The crowd shifts as afternoon approaches. Creative professionals replace morning regulars, ordering cortados between meetings. Students spread books across tables, settling in for long sessions fueled by carefully timed refills. Through it all, a continuous hum of conversation suggests that while coffee may be the draw, community is what keeps the space alive and the dollars flowing like water.
Don't Miss: The matcha latte, which arrives looking more like drinkable art than mere beverage. Price Range: $4-7 (beverages),...

Did a barista give you a good recommendation on a drink? Did they help make your day better with witty conversation? Did they make you something custom? If yes, then tip. This practice needs to end - just be honest and raise your prices 10% if the tip is mandatory. I know they don't want to do that though since they're already pretty much the most expensive place to get coffee in town. Your coffee was decent but I'm never coming back bc of the tip-flationary greed. More customers need to take this kind of behavior to task, otherwise businesses are going to think it's an acceptable practice - and it's not. Hope it...

The service was friendly.
The hot chocolate and cappuccino had the beautiful cream heart shapes and looked beautiful.
Nothing prepared me for the disappointed with the hot chocolate which was barely tepid!! After all the elaborate spiel about the varieties and differences between their hot chocolate, it was a major let down. Taste was nothing to match their description either.
My companion said the same about his cappuccino.
Third companion was happy with her pour over.
I suggest the management put up a sign warning of the tepid temperatures and that we could request for hotter. I could have asked but the long lines dissuaded me from going back to the counter.
The bustling Saturday farmers market right outside made it a...
