Decided to try Patty Boy for the first time during lunch with my mom. It was a pretty busy Saturday at the food hall, but we were able to go right up to the counter and order . I got the fried pickle burger and my mom the deluxe veggie burger. After making our purchase we waited about 10 minutes before the order was ready.

The burgers were okay but nothing to rave about. Both burgers we cooked pretty well but we both felt that the burgers were lacking in flavor. The suaces are what brought everything together. However, a good burger should be able to hold its own without the extra toppings. My burger got a little messy at the end because I had more burger and toppings than bun.

Lastly, we noticed that they upcharge for everything. Upcharge for sauces, meats for the salad, or substitutions. Sometimes that can be a deterrent. Overall it was okay, but can’t say it would be my go to...

After walking around for a few minutes at the Durham Food Hall I decided on Patty Boy. The gentleman who helped me was very nice and understanding and worked with me to order the chicken tender meal. The meal originally came with three chicken tenders, slaw, tater tots, and Texas toast. Instead of the Texas toast I got another slaw. The gentleman told me how the batter for the chicken was made in house daily, so I was so excited! This excitement ended when I saw and tasted the chicken tenders. They were super small, dry, and the batter had no flavor. I thought the saving grace would be the slaw, but this again had no flavor. Surprisingly it was the tater tots that saved the day, but you can only eat so many.

Well, I will have to pass on eating here again--I've had better chicken tenders at Chili's. Three stars for the...

Got a keto style Bacon Cheeseburger (no bun), and my daughter got a big kids meal. The kid asked if she could get ducks instead of the Temu toy and it was just about encouraged as he even asked what color she was looking for and went and found some green ones for her. Sat down and they even brought out our food when it was ready and got me some cutlery, which was so nice of them. Unfortunately my daughter didn't say she wanted the burger plain and wasn't feeling the larger pickle slices, onions and sauce so I walked up just as he was flipping the closed sign and asked if we could fix her burger. Not batting an eye it was ordered and promptly delivered again to our table. The burgers were juicy and tasty, and worth the hassle of downtown parking. Thanks for making our night, Pattyboy. We'll be back with the rest of the...

New place at DFH. Was excited to try their smash burger. I was massively disappointed. Smash burgers aren't normally 1/16th" thin. These were paper thin. I asked for no burger sauce as it's mayo based. They were nice enough to oblige but instead they put so much mustard on it that it was inedible. More disappointing was the price. A basic double patty is $12, add more for lettuce, tomato and bacon. Remember, both patties together are not as thick as a basic McDonald's cheeseburger. On top of that, they demand another $4 for a 4oz portion of tater tots. And they do what no restaurant should ever do, they put a line item charge for employees. This is part of food cost and should be built into the Manu pricing. This place is not worth it. Meh product, bad mgmt practices and high prices. Pass.
