Bald Man Brewing — Restaurant in Eagan

My wife and I moved here from Madison, Wisconsin in the winter. We had several go-to breweries and wanted to find one in this area to enjoy. Happy to say Bald Man Brewing is it.

Beers - great variety. Killer Queen is a delicious double IPA, their strong Belgian is dangerously smooth, and their lighter options all refreshing

Food - food truck selection out front is top-notch. The little snacks inside are great for a lighter apatite. The pretzels they have are similar, but better, than Dots.

Atmosphere - nice open space with many tables. Outdoor area is nice and they even have sun shades to sit out there and not get burnt/blinded! The host events which look fun but have not attended one (yet)

Finally, and most importantly, my wife and I have a 3 month old. We get super self-conscious about bringing her places but BMB has always reaffirmed we are fine there and most welcomed. One of the brewers even gave me a crowler of beer when we had to leave early do to a fussy little one and couldn't finish our first beers. That act alone really personifies what I love in small business, especially a local craft brewery.

Bald Man Brewing is straight-up one of our favorite hangouts.

They’ve got different food trucks out front making rounds from Monday through the weekend. Some days it’s Heggie’s Pizza, other times it’s the Brick Oven Bus, Las Tortillas, Garillers, or Bad Rooster stepping in to feed the people. The patio is huge and dog friendly, so bring your pup and stretch out under the sun or stars.

Inside, they’ve got that open taproom industrial vibe with the brewing tanks in view, plenty of seating, TVs, and space for games.

And the events are always a blast. Thursday nights often feature live music year-round, there’s VINGO (bingo meets trivia) on Wednesdays, trivia nights twice a month on Tuesdays, and bingo with a beer and meat raffle on Sundays. They also throw big celebrations like Rocktoberfest and birthday concerts, with everything from Prince tributes to Whitney Houston video DJ parties.

It’s the kind of place where you can sip a great beer, grab food from a truck, laugh through trivia with friends, catch a local rock band, and just enjoy that perfect mix of good drinks, good people,...

We’re there every Monday night and normally the experience is great, which is why we keep Coming back. Last night, though was an exception. About 8:30 I went to get a second beer, and Natalie informed me that they were closing an hour early and last call would be in 10 minutes. No sign on the door at this time. I asked why, since there were quite a few people there yet, and she just shrugged her shoulders and mumbled something. A couple minutes later a sign was taped to the outside of the door, and she made a point to come over to me and say that a maintenance team was coming and she just does what she’s told.this makes zero sense since a scheduled maintenance would be after the tap room is closed and would be scheduled ahead of time, and not a last minute thing.
