T.J. Maxx — Local services in Eagan

There's only been a few times where someone has been outright ageist towards me. The Older lady with an English accent is one of those people. Never have felt so disrespected in my life. I explained to her that I was at this tj maxx in order to help my dad pick out a gift for my moms birthday. I said that I needed to take pictures of the jewelry, send it to my dad, and have my dad chose which one he wanted. I said I wanted to see 3 things in the case- she said that she could only show me 2 things at a time because people steal. Okay whatever. Then after that, I ask to see a necklace which is on this hanger thing along with other necklaces. So she takes out all the necklaces at once. The one necklace I wanted was tangled, so I touched it in order for it to look normal for the picture. Her response 'Oh! Look what you did. Now, I have to put them all back and take this one out separately.' I asked, 'Why do you need to do that?' She said, 'Because you touched it.' I said, 'Why does that matter?' She said, 'You could steal it.' Seriously, this lady needs to be fired or moved to a different department like scrubbing toilets. For real. Luckily, she went on break and a nice African American girl helped me. She was in her early 20's and had black/clearish glasses. She needs to be promoted or moved to jewelry...

I usually enjoy shopping at T.J. Maxx, but the staff here was less than helpful. I went to purchase one item, and three registers were lit. Two clerks were busy with customers, and one had just left a register. There were also two associates standing behind the registers. I made eye contact with one and started walking towards the illuminated register near her. She told me that register wasn't open, and I asked that then she'd turn the register light off. She said she couldn't which seemed unrealistic to me. She then continued to stand there with the other associate; neither appearing to do anything. I did hear the one call an associate back to the registers. There were now 2-3 customers in line behind me and still nothing. Fortunately, one of the clerks at the register completed the transaction, and she was able to help me next. She was very pleasant and nearly made up for the bad taste left in my mouth from the uncooperative sales associate. I expected that she would have been willing to ring me up for...

I like this store for cosmetics and body washes. I have bought a lot of merchandise at this location in the past 18 years. Their management is horrible. Total turnoff when I see them " racial profiling" their customers. I witnessed a manager yell across the counter when a brown skinned person tested a cologne. Everyone turned around and the man was embarrassed and apologetic, yet a few seconds ago a couple white teenagers were spraying cologne all over and nothing was said. My husband was approached after being in the body wash aisle for about 20 minutes......" Are you going to buy anything?" The employee asked him rudely. Apparently they don't like brown people from India either. I will take my money elsewhere then spend more at this location with hillbilly redneck...
