While things were ultimately resolved by the restaurant (trust me, if it had not been, the rating would have been lower), I'm posting this more as a warning for others.
I placed an online order for some food for store pickup. After waiting for a bit for the notification that the order was ready, I went into the store. As I was walking in, I noticed a sign that they're currently short staffed so orders may take longer to get. That was fine, I understand times are tough and I waited patiently in the store for the order.
After getting the notification finally, my bag wasn't moved to the shelves but I noticed it was sitting where you normally get food when eating in. I went over there and picked up my bag and was going to take a peek inside to make sure things were there because it didn't quite feel full enough. Before I could one of the employees suddenly mentioned that the brownie wasn't there because they ran out. I was offered a refund or replacement item, so that was fine, as much as I would have liked that brownie lol. I did mention though I had also ordered a drink, which they pointed me where to get a cup and fill the drink.
Thinking all was well, I drove home to enjoy my dinner. I got home and started pulling the contents out of the bag and quickly discovered that it wasn't just a brownie that had been missing, but the sandwich from my pick 2 combo was also missing, which was way bigger of a deal than the 99 cent brownie. I ended up driving all the way back to the restaurant and had given them a heads up by phone what happened.
As I mentioned, they did provide an acceptable resolution in the end, but I know better now and warn others, make sure you thoroughly check your bag because even if they say one thing is missing, there may be more missing they're not mentioning. I completely understand being short staffed may cause things to take longer than usual, but while they're already taking longer please take the time to also be accurate!
Side note, the only good thing out of this error was that my car was outside of my garage when the spring...
Read moreI ordered a chicken sandwich. That’s it. I’m a long haul trucker and explained how the delivery driver could find me at the address. Our headquarters has a small lot for trucks as we are small company so it wouldn’t be that hard. ETA was 6:33 PM. I called 6:45 and was told the order had been picked up but that once it’s picked up they have no control or information regarding driver’s ETA. An hour after my phone call, still no food. At that point, I know he’s not gonna show. So I called back for a refund, only no one would answer the phone. The phone rang and rang until it disconnected on its own. That happened twice. They finally answered the third time after several rings. They canceled my order and I got a refund. as a trucker, I could have disconnected from my trailer and drove my tractor to Trader Joe’s but chose instead to stay put and have food ordered. That was a bad decision. I ended up going to bed without any dinner. Panera used to deliver their own food but now they Outsource their deliveries to Uber eats, DoorDash etc. I Was down with Covid for a month last January and lived on Panera food deliveries. It was the one thing that made me feel better. I won’t order from Panera anymore not after outsourcing their deliveries and I won’t use DoorDash or Uber eats anymore either.
