Ok so I have been to MANY mexican restaurants. From California, Texas, Utah, Virginia and New York. But this was some good food!!! First location is pretty easy go access, decent parking, clean location and in a good area. Wheel chair accessible and a cute little bar. With a bit of outdoor seating. If I had 1 improvement it'd be the location is small, but that isn't really a issue. Service was SPOT ON, I had my elderly parents with me and as we were explaining some things the waitress was ON TOP of service. She overheard us and was already saying you want X, Y, Z right? I was highly impressed. She was also super patient with my special needs youngest child. Absolutely a welcoming place, drinks were kept filled, food came out fast and they move quickly! Food. Now of all the places I have been the meat was seasoned!! Steak had an amazing taste, good cute, cooked well and tender. Chicken was better outside the pollo fundido and I was surprised at this!!! The grilled cactus was awesome I have never had it like this and was impressed with it! Salsa was good, cheese dip had my youngest bouncing and the guacamole my dad couldn't stop talking about! It was also my Bday so they brought out a small firework, I had a bit of a heart attack and got to wear the sombrero! The sopapilla was delicious overall a darn good experience and couldn't be happier.

We went late afternoon but before the dinner crowd and got right in. I had their Chili Poblano dinner. Two cheese stuffed poblano peppers with a side of rice and refried beans as well as three flour tortillas. The peppers had their red sauce on them. Lots of food. Not spicy. I ate half, taking home the rest along with the tortillas. The hubby ordered the Tacos De Alhambre. Four soft corn taco shells filled, actually, stuffed with steak, chorizo and bacon along with grilled onions, mushrooms and jalapeños and topped with shredded cheese. He could barely finish the 2nd taco, they were filled that much. He did mention they were a tad spicy for him this time as I helped him remove some of the cooked in jalapenos. The meal began with the normal warm chips with both mild and jalapeños. We did not order drinks as we have a fairly long drive home in the rainy and foggy weather. We have ordered drinks in the past and noted again how pretty some of them were coming out from the bar. We will definitely return.

My wife and I here loved the Patron Margarita soooo much--delicious! We have to get 2 next time! Yes, that is a real orchid too! The Tres Amigos dish (steak, shrimp, and chicken) is really good and enough to take home too! All tasty (steak is nicely seasoned/cooked), and the guacamole is very good! I'm so glad they give you 3 tortillas instead of the typical 2. The chips and queso is great and the spicy salsa is the BEST I have had in a while! Sweet tea is good olee southern style as well. This place was super slammed on Mother's Day and our waitress did such an amazing job! Made sure to stop by as much as possible and asked all the right questions to ensure we were happy customers 😁! Atmosphere and music is fun and great! Really good music! I live in Greer and it was worth the trip--100%! I'd say this is the Best Mexican place I have been to in the Upstate so far!!!

On March 21st myself and 6 other ladies planned a celebration for a recent nursing grad. Upon deciding where to start we were told Mr. Cactus is fun and has a DJ on Fridays. We go, wait an hour to be seated. After being seated and very hungry I give the waiter my drink and food order and he rudely tells me that he is only taking by drink order. After approx. 30 min he finally takes the food order. I ordered empanadas. The food comes out and my plate consisted of 3 tacos with freezer style chicken strips. I told the waiter this is not what I ordered and her told me that I pointed to that in the menu. In an attempt to keep the party vibe, I said, its fine. I take 1 bite, and it is TERRIBLE! I flagged the waiter and tell him I do not want this. He does not speak, takes my food and walks away. He returns a few min later to inform me very bluntly that I am going to be charged for the plate of food. I’m Shocked!!!!!!! I let him know quickly I will not be paying for food I did not order and did not eat. He argues then walks away comes back a few min later and tells me that I will not be charged but that I was the one at fault. WE ARE ALL STARRING AT EACH OTHER IN DISBELIEF!!!!!!!!! I WAS NOT OFFERED, ASKED, ANYTHING! Treated like an enemy of the state. I flag him down and ask him, are you going to offer me anything eat or is it your policy to leave a customer with nothing to eat and furious???? I tell him I worked in food service for years and I have never in all my life had this BIZARRE OF AN EXPERIENCE NOT TO MENTION THE ENTIRE TABLE IS ANGRY AND SCRATCHING THEIR HEAD IN DISBELIEF. He only argues stating I pointed to the wrong thing on the menu. We then ask for the manager who has a completely different story. He states that I ordered something that IS not on the menu. So you have one story and the waiter has another. Okay???? So how is it I say Empanadas to the waiter, who then takes down my order of empanadas, of which the entire table heard me say empanadas and says nothing to the contrary. The manager was rude, arrogant, cared nothing at all about what we were saying. This only frustrated everyone at the table even more! He offered not one oz of customer service or professionalism. This is the point at which I decided to return the favor and leave them with my tab of $6 for 2 draft beers. You are telling me I am going to be charged for food I did not order and did not eat offer me nothing in return. Then I will leave the check for 2 beers I did drink. My friends paid their tab, walk out and we get the manager attention then. He runs out into the parking lot demanding I pay my tab and also states that one of us has left their phone which he has in his hand and add he is not giving it back until the tab is paid. The owner of the phone quickly reminds him that she paid her bill and demands her phone back! He gives her the phone back. I tell him I am not paying for anything. He says he is calling the police. I said, by all means, call them. I got in my car pull out of my parking space and they are running behind me taking pictures of my license plate and car. My friend, who was later coming out and paid her tab, was bombarded by the manager, another male worker and a female worker bombarded her until she...

Floors were dirty (food, napkins) decor was terribly dusty check the fake 🌵. We were seated promptly but it was 15 minutes before we asked for help finding who was waiting on our table since no one had made themself known to us yet. A few minutes later we were waited on. In the mean time another table was being cleaned and some of the straws were slung out onto the floor and left. We then got a cheese dip we didn't order, I dipped a chip in it to see if maybe the chorizo was hiding in it since we ordered chorizo dip but there was none. Suddenly it was whisked away after being recognized as not ours by one of the wait staff... It was then placed upon the table of the patrons adjacent to us... Another group was brought to a table to be seated and there were still dishes left there but they were picked up by the person seating them as they were being seated. This was 4:00pm on a Sunday and it wasn't terribly busy. It's not terrible but could definitely be better. The food was decent although one wonders what the state of things are where customers don't see considering the state of things in the dining areas. I think maybe a bit more energy and motivation from any leads there would get things brought back up. The weather has been ugly and it's been a rough sick season too, maybe everyone is just struggling to get through. We will try it again here some time I'm sure, maybe...
